I wouldn't be expecting too much.

Most if not all of the town has been demolished over the years, with only a few homes now
left standing. If there ever were emergency sirens, I doubt they still function. As for the fog?
not likely, nor will there be ash raining from the sky, however you might get lucky and see
a lot of steam. I would suggest bringing a gas mask, like farts, toxic fumes are silent and
deadly at times.

I've been keeping an eye on Centralia over the years, and first found out that it was the
basis for Silent Hill back when the movie hit theaters. It's ironic in a way...

On one hand, I hate that the town has been killed in the manner that it has been, and that
soon, it'll be but a memory, save for those who go seeking information. It could have all
been avoided, if the town's officials had jumped on the job sooner.

On the other hand, if they had stopped the fire, the town would have thrived, and it's not
very likely that we'd have such a great survival horror series such as Silent Hill. Fate is
truly a mysterious, sometimes cruel and wonderful thing.
