Considering most profit made by churches is made for structural improvements or sent to charity, I don't see that a profit.

I'm not sure about other religions, but I know that.

Religion hasn't changed much from the past, it's just become slightly more accepting. However, despite everything they've changed, they still feel the need to convict gays and soldiers and such.

Religion isn't a profitable source. But it is a corruptive one.

All the top religions have a pivital structure used to the make a profit and expand their religion.

Catholics/Christians - They use the money to build more churches, send misionarys over seas, pay priest (yes full time priest do get paid, they cant live off faith). Also in the older ages the church paid for the crusades to war with the middle east. Vatican City was sponsored by the Catholic Church when it was made/expanded to become their base of operations.

Muslims - Same as christians, terrorist group have recieved funding from certain muslim churches in the middle east. After all they are fighting for their god and their holy land. (not trying to say muslims are evil just tracing back some profits)

Voodoo - Shops sell potions, spices, herbs, dolls, other crap to practice their religion.

Buddhism/Shinto - prolly the lest profitable of all the religions, they mainly farm for their living supplies in most countires. Very little profit is used to build/maintain monestarys/shrines.

Just about every religion make a profit to keep their religion alive and spreading. And where exactly do you think all the extras go? To the top off their religious food chain for other things nt entirly religious.

Buddha encouraged people to walk around with bowls, and if people happened to give you food that day, you got to eat.

Religion is used for two reasons. One bad. One good.


1. It is used to explain anything that has yet to be explained. How does such and such happen? Let's go find out! God did it.

For this reason, I dislike religion. It's like giving up.


2. It is used to give hope, usually in the form of some sort of heaven. How many people can enjoy the here and now, knowing that someday they'll just be a dead, fleshy sack underground? Not many.

For this reason, I like religion. It's like refusing to give up.

Even a charity organization, is made for profitable purposes, by your definition.

i'm just saying most religion doesn't do anything for YOU but your supposed to donate your hard earned money to THEM. I've never seen a church donate to something in my area or state in the recent decade. All that food they say they are danating or clothes all cme from the folowers and those hundreds an thousands of dollars they make goes for really nothing but electricity and the priest which hardly cost what they make.

When tax time comes they hardly oay 5 cents for every dollar i have to. All it is, is a corporation that instead of selling cars or cellphones they sell faith, which really doesn't do to much. I could pray to god without need of a church.
