VSS vs AB

ok no need to explian topic lets get to it

VSS
20 rounds
9mm ammo
high crit (100 crit needed)
Slow relaod (105 reload needed)
High Accuracy (50-60 accuracy)
9 Damage +60% = 14.4 non crit, 72 on crit

AB
5 rounds
.50 handgun ammo
Very High Crit (80 needed)
slow reload (105 reload needed)
average accuracy (70-80 accuracy)
12 damage +30% = 15.6 non crit, 78 on crit

- Ok basically the Alpha Bull is only stronger by 6 damage on a critical hit.
- VS an LA both take 3 crits to kill or 2 crits and 3 hits.

that gets the basics out of the way, now to specialty traits.

Alpha Bull
- Better for hybrid builds cause you only need 80 crits and the rest goes into accuracy which strength weps use.
- Better for PvP for the extra damage


VSS
- Better for pure crit builds, cause the 100 crit aids your SMGs
- Cheaper Ammo, and a higher magazine size.


Now heres the MAIN part of the arguement people seem to miss, what happens when your seriosuly wounded or on critcal? Now keep in mind your instant relaod is gone now and your useing your pure survival skills at this point.

AB
- can only kill one LA before relaoding even on all crits, 1 LA takes 3 crits to kill and it has 5 rounds.

VSS
- can kill 2-5 LAs before reloading, 1 LA takes about 9 non crits to kill. so depend ing on how lucky you ar with crits you can drop at the least 2 before relaoding.


Conclusion
- Take the AB if your concerned about killing bosses and players, or a hybrid build
- Take the VSS to save money, or to save yourself if your hurt badly in the city.

With 124 reloading, the AB still loads really freaking fast, even at lower health levels, or so I hear. Fast enough to get you out of most jams.

they have the same relaod so no matter how fast an AB relaod and a VSS still loads the same.

in fact you have to use 4x the time relaoding an AB then a VSS (5x4=20)

Yes, but the AB is better until you're at death's door. Even then, it's good enough to get you home.

actually its not better, its THE SAME as a VSS.

if both have to take the same amount bullets to kill an LA how is the AB better? It's not its just as useful.

But on the chance you see a GLA or Behemoth then yea its slightly better. But even then crit users use SMGs for that situation.

would you rather kill a GLA 10 shots faster or if your hurt would you rather be able to secure a toilet and heal rather then die and walk back for 30 minutes to GLAZ

Well most people assume 6 damage makes a huge difference, when it doesnt

People who use AB's tend to be Hybrid Builds.

And the rest are nubs who see 12 damage on the wiki and shit themselves...


no on sits and contemplates on the advantages. Ever stop to think why people Choose a VSS over the obviously more powerful AB (6 damage lolz)

going off of your graph of 100 crit for the VSS, and 80 for the AB, at a lower health level, wouldnt the AB perform better due to the crit rate of it? it would also give you 20 other stats, that could be used for endurance, which would make up for any possible disadvantage given by the VSS.

The only thing that bugs me about the VSS is it's real world stats. It only fires its subsonic 9mm bullets at around 950 feet per second. That doesn't translate to very many joules behind the bullet at impact. Not only that, but it's very ugly and silenced. I only will use it because I have to.

Raging Bull is better without a doubt. It actually requires less stats than VSS, and sure, VSS requires more criticals than Raging Bull, making it seemingly better for SMG. However, the low accuracy most have when using a VSS makes SMGs absolute shit. Then when you increase the accuracy, it's wasted on the VSS, much moreso than the critical wasted on the Raging Bull. Though, Raging Bull, with 124 Critical and Reloading, makes it useful EVEN on Death's Door.

Therefore, Raging Bull is better for SMGs. VSS is better for Chainsaw users.

Raging Bull's power actually does make it better for Longarms. IF you get all criticals, it's same amount of crits. If you don't? You're better off with RB. And Fat Reds, I believe VSS takes 2 crits and 1 normal hit, while RB takes 2 crits only. Making it better to have an RB.

Personally, this isn't how it should be. In my opinion, the M82 and Dragunov should far outclass the Raging Bull at long distance. However, Raging Bull dominates in all categories, ESPECIALLY if you PvP/Boss Hunt. VSS attracts slightly less aggro, so slightly it doesn't really matter all too much, though could be useful. And, it is better for Melee Builds which include a Chainsaw.

To be honest, I'm both a rifle and pistol junkie. I was one of the first to ever use the Rebellion, the firsts being Reznorock and Blaqk. <3 Blaqk for that. Rebellion was back when the M82 was the Level 100 Rifle, btw. And I've always loved using the SW 500. I absolutely would LOVE Rifles to be reinvented on Dead Frontier, so that I may use a Rifle/Pistol build. However currently there's no point, as Pistol far outclasses Rifles on Dead Frontier. The only Rifle I'd currently use over the Raging Bull is the Rebellion, and that's only because it would allow me three Level 100 Weapons at Level 50.

like i said on deaths door you only have 5 shots then a 3-5 seconds relaod time. So thats one one la dead. VSS can kill 2-5 before relaod

and vss takes 2 crits to kill a fat red not 2 and a normal

At death's door, it takes maybe a bit over a second to reload, with 124 reloading.

You got me with the hits to kill thing though.
