Captain Awesome and Melee-Guy are two reasons why that community sucks. The 4% loot chance is legitimate and although the game is in open beta and clearly warns that it is a bare bones representation of what the developer would like it to be, they are still asking for money in the form of gold memberships. The market place has terrible inflation over anything of importance; like food, ammo, and any effective weapons. The attributes are incredibly unbalanced, but for anyone wondering: stamina increasing the amount of time you can run, agility increases the speed of running, strength is a prerequisite to using heavy weapons and advanced armor, endurance increases hit points and critical hits (the most useful attribute) increases the rate of critical hits (but critical hits do not occur with certain types of weapons like THE SHOTGUN?!?!?!?). This game asks for money in order to make looting do-able, yet the game cannot support more than 1300 people on a server. Although, even without 1300+ people on a server the game will lag and your character will be surrounded and die. The inventory and map screens are a mess. You cannot access your inventory when “it isn’t safe to do so” even when there are no enemies around, and if you do access your inventory you leave the game. Also, the map opens in another window. If playing multi-player, it is impossible to access the map without getting killed while checking it. When you level up you have to return to Nastya’s Outpost to receive any benefit to leveling up, but its not like you have to go to a trainer and if you have an outpost you can’t level up or use special class skills (even though the forums note otherwise). The game play is monotonous and boring. Those that find it appealing probably have OCD or some learning disorder because normal people give up on this garbage after 30 minutes. The premise is enticing, but the execution is piss poor. This game prides itself in gritty realism, yet graphically it couldn’t be further from the truth. Also, if your character is level 30 and is starving they cannot eat a bag of chips because the bag of chips is only suitable for characters level 14 and below. How is that realistic? Any constructive criticism given on the forums is met with zealous fervor to “get the hell out”. This game is trash, the developer is trash, and the people that take pride in grinding out experience have invested too much time and money to accept that it was all a waste. Do not waste your time. There are much better flash, browser zombie games out there without the hassle of ridiculous development limits being flaunted as “realistic, horror survival”.
