| Okay, my computer was scanned and it has 12 viruses. (all worms) and some douchebag keeps shutting down my computer remotely and trying to take it over. I am downloading the patch as this is unique to windows (big surprise) and then I may get a new OS and format my hard drive. Fresh start  so any recomendations as to what I should do? | |

| Yes, Avast is good. That's the first thing I download when I get a new computer, followed by Google Chrome. | |

| Precisely Kyo. Avast! Is one of the best freeware anti-virus programs available on the net.
It's name is befitting actually, because it indeed plunders your P.C Of all viruses and such
harmful stuff. | |

And when you are done scanning, make sure you can update it, that your windows updates can run, and that your windows firewall is active and not stuck on 'group settings' or anything. | |

| Also, while trying to fix comp, pull the web cable, out, you may know to do this, but most people forget this step. | |
