| God of War does look epic. I'm glad those battles are even larger scale, more detailed, and cool. But I am kind of weirded out in the direction the series is heading. It seems to be focusing less on action, and more on plain shock factor and gore. Ripping a humanoid's head off with your bare hands in HD graphics where you can see every strand of flesh ripping seems a little over the top for me. And this is coming from a dude who grew up with blasting people to bits and blowing heads off. The combat is still good, and the series has not done anything stupid with it (gimmicky), but, I don't know. . . | |

| They're trying to mimic MadWorld, I assume, where it was more about how gory could you make your opponent's death more than story/action.
On another note, I've played multiple games that have taught me numerous ways of causing pain to an individual that'll bring him to the brink of death, yet not actually kill him.
