I used something simple as an example. People will abuse the plan just like people abuse welfare. Some people you try to help and they take advantage of it.

For instance I would be fine helping a family who is financially struggling because one of the spouses lost their job and they can't pay for the things they need until said spouse gets another job. I'd be fine helping a person who is paralyzed and can't work effectively.

But when a person is so low and idiotic that they drop out of high school, find a job, have kids they can't afford, then expect the government to help them out only to abuse the food stamps and buy a fancy car with the money they receive, it makes me sick. And every low life asshole who does so needs a reality check.

The government should create a high school built to re educate said people so they can get a job and pay for what they want and the government can use that money they would have used on them for something more important like.. Iunno.. Cheaper health care without the unnecessary tax increase?

I know that's a bit off topic but I feel these same people with abuse this great plan in the same way. "Oh, I have a cold, ill just go to the hospital for it and make the people who are worse off than me wait longer to be treated because I'm more important and not to mention an asshole"

So yeah. In a perfect world free health care is the answer but clearly america is not a perfect place.

I'm sure jarki you can agree there are people in canada who use it and there are others who abuse it.

What I love is is why someone said it was a bad idea.

They stated that if the US had healthcare it would mean that they basically had an N.H.S. Ok so whats wrong with that? He then went on to state that if America had always had an N.H.S then Steven Hawking wouldn't be alive today.

I mean this guy must be a complete retard. Steven Hawking is British and he said that he owes his life to the N.H.S. I am British so I can say that I wonder how long it will be until the evil bastards try and claim his life back? They might be good at their job (most of the time) but there is no denying they are some evil fuckers.

2. Live in a trailer with his parents
3. Live off the government

I actually agree Havoc. It's not AS prevalent here, but it's very prevalent in places such as Toronto.

We get the odd nutjob who does that, but it isn't that bad at all.

However, it hasn't really been a problem, not here. It is in the HUGE cities, but nonetheless, it's blown WAY out of proportion.
