Solo mission

Objective

1.secure a minor building on the outskirts of town
2.Set up a communications network
3.Observe zombie activity

Recently survivors have found a number of supplys and items which they have used to build bases and communication centers in the inner city.

However most of these have been short lived(figurativily and literally) either they had to retreat due to supply shortages or being slain in their sleep by the mutated creatures of fairview, as of writing this i have secured a small outpost near where the more grotesque variations of the zombie menace have been known to live, my mission was simple when a went out really it was to make a small base until the corporation could secure a more stable footing in a more profitable base however, i under estamated the value(and profits) that could be reaped from these buildings and the wait for further orders is far from uncomfortable at first i captured several planks and nails from some unknown office building in northen fairview i figured "what the heck?" when the time came to secure a area for umbrella i would not need these excess materials so instead of selling them i decided to see how useful a base really would be.

i set a journy south there was a abandoned motel virtually untouched by the swelling zombie legions, it was rather creepy to tell the truth the inside had neen painted green most of the lights had gone out but it still maintained enough electricity to offer some visablity i bashed a zombie waiting outside the door went in closed the door and nailed it shut, as no more zombies could get in there was a strong corpse smell in the air i figured it was from zombies so i scouted around a bit, to my surprise there was only two zombies on any of the three floors instead it was merely the body's in the hotel rooms(which i regret to inform i could not remove the smell bothers me even as i send out this report) the area was easy to secure there was only one major entrence and that was the front door all the windows were two small for zombies to claw into(which was good as i could observe them without risking myself) after all the work was done a immediatly went to setting up the communcation system.

First i took out the communication systems i was graciously provided by the outpost authorites i scaned the room i figured the top floor would be the best place since if the zombies broke in it would be a long trek to get to me, i picked a clean room one with no corpses or bloodstains and set a radio ontop of the desk, then once i did that i set up a computer system so i could send back this(and further) reports once that was set up i could communcate freely back to the home base and outlying bases wth ease, then once that was done i began searching for supply's in the wake of the outbreak most worldly possesions were abandoned and in a motel they littered the place there are more items hidden the rubble then i can count wether is a rotten cabbage or a rifle everyday i seem to find more things here every time i go over the house it seems like i catch somthing shiny that i missed before just outside my vision this has proven quiet profitable, i have used these goods to buy food and building supply's.

But i cannot stress the dangers even now zombies claw at my door i will issue a report as soon as i have the time i fear these zombies will require my attention soon.

END REPORT

End notes

profitable
High risk
Requires a supply stream to maintain
The corpses stink to high heaven

Report two

date: 01/30/09

My outpost was overrun...

when i woke up this mourning a zombie legion had overwhelmed my defenses i was forced into a retreat from my panic room on the top floor.....but not before grabbing my supplies in the days of my occupation i had seized several nails and planks, in addition 500$ and a weeks worth of food and medical supplies, however i was planing to leave at anyrate this area did not provide acceptable quality goods to warrent a continued stay so i did not bother to try and save my outpost and instead fled with what spoils i could gather.

North.....that is where i must go that is where i will find true wealth......

After returning to home base i pawned off the exotc goods i had claimed and used the money for building materials and equipment my new suit of armor should provide some basic protection, after which i enlisted help of my fellow umbrella employs sadly our mission ended in failure when i was forced to evac under heavy zombie attack i shall try again soon.

i resupplied once i had recovered and began my trek north this time alone...i figure stealth should provide me with the means t get there instead of brute force...i made my way up main street took a left killing whatever zombie got two close searching for good ground to set up camp.

I came to one the many hills in the north land of fairview up here there was little light zombies infested the place like locausts buzzing around to devour any meat in sight living or dead, i moved under the watchful gaze of the mutated ravens of fairview who dogged me evey step their caws alerting the zombies t my postion, but i silanced them and kept moving i knew stopping for anything meant death in this place....i had seen the new zombie strains these purpleish zombies were not a threat to be taken lightly.

Finally i arrived at a suitable camp ground a obscure motel abandoned by everything but the dead i made in through the front door and nailed it shut then i went over to the register and looted the sum of the money...once that was done i secured the large windows in the waiting room this place would make a suitable living quarters indeed in fact there was little evidance zombies had ever came here i set up a communications system as before in the top floor of the building and sent this report currently im still exploring this maze like building.

i radioed some umbrella members to see if they would come over i got trigger to come over he made his way to my home with some minor difficultys however i found out i could not get him in without destroying the front door barricades first but once that was done we explored the place a bit trigger went to empty the goods he had aquired on his way to my place and is to my knowledge still here i shall deliver another report at a later date.

Date: Monday February 2nd 2009

I decided once again to find a new base of operations so i packed up my supply's and did a sweep of the area i passed warehouses, motels, public bathrooms, and market places but none seemed to justify capture......until i stumbled into an office building quiet by accedent the halls were tight and maze like....perfect to mount a large defensive matrix i sealed the front door shut to prevent any more zombies from coming in, tentivaly i stepped into the dark halls, i could see very little except what the moonlight shone and the first thing i saw was....blood and gore i heard the gnashing of teeth and moans of the dead and fliped my flashlight over to the far end of the room there huddled around a grisly meal was a horrible mutant not the normal stupid zombies you see normally but the more cunning burly ones that had reached a stage 2 infestation in their system he growled a deep throaty word that i did nott understand and charged, i fliped out my dagger a scalpel and slammed it in his eye spraying a torrent of blood tore it out and stabbed him in the gut drawing little blood he almost bit me but i backed up took my blade and did a slash clean through his throat he stumbled kneeled and fell down with a thump i knew at that point reclaiming this place would not be easy.

As i walked down the twisted hallways the moans of the dead grew louder it was coming from the upper floors a knew until i stemmed any reinforcments i could not take them...not yet i counted the number of windows and came up with 19 a huge number to barricade and costly in resources but i had enough i set about the long and tiring task of covering up the windows withen several minutes i had most covered and to my luck i had over half my supplys intact! as i searched the rooms i found much in the way of money and modern medical supply's inculding anti-septic spray which is usually in demand even to the higher warriors for a quick fix when a docters not around once i had collected everything i figured it high time to face my unwanted guests.

a quickly went up floor by floor killing zombies as i came and went taking note of the places layout by my estmetes you could get lost for quiet some time in place i also found some food so at least i would'nt starve hiding up here as i scaned the area i came upon strange markings....arrows i had seen them before in front of our main outpost in fact i pondered them for some time they seemed to be pointing somewhere and always the same place desks and sometimes corpses and always in the main areas never the hallways or bathrooms i slowly followed these upstairs until i reached one the top floor it was on the desk...pointing to a stack of bloodstained books i searched the books and found about 70$ wedged in them several other arrows pointed to labtops and such or crates i searched them too most were empty but i found some things, then i heard a strange cross between a growel and a roar behind me i turned my flashlight on my new foe, a green mutant a rare speciman indeed and no doubt the leader of this rag tag zombie army he shambled slowly at me but i went into a dead sprint and slashed his throat punctured his lungs and disembowled him in one swift barrage of knife strikes spewing mounds of blood every which way he growled again...or maybe whimpered but at any case he went into a dead sprint i slashed him right and left dodging his earth shattering spikes as the blood loss came over him he let out one final strike catching me squarely in the chest it hurt no doubt...but did kill me the beast fell quiet dead, but i saw something on him a hunters knife i decided to keep it for later.

with the last of the zombies dead i followed where he had come from which lead me to a hallway with a man dead at my feat i searched his corpse and found a small rusty key i shrugged and dropped it into my back pocket i followed the hallway and there i found the perfect place for a defense the arrows were pointing to somethng else apprently.... the desks had been aligned to form a barricade with a tight nich small enough for me to squeeze through i entered wearly and collapsed content i had a safe place to sleep.
