It's ON like DONKEY KONG. The search for my successor, that is. I find myself drifting farther and farther away from Dead Frontier, And far be it from me to end this wonderful clan simply because of my lack of ability.

Thus, I am searching for a successor.

Requirements:

Level 40+ in Dead Frontier.

At least SOMEWHAT Well-known in Clan Discussion.

Know anyone who fits the bill? Recommend them. Of course, I reserve the right to turn down any person I don't feel would be able to lead Umbrella, and vice versa.

I will continue to attempt leadership until a Successor is found.

Alas, you and Birkin (And perhaps Pest) are the last of our honorable oldies that still actively play DF on a regular basis. However, Pest seems to be perpetually stuck as a low level, and I don't think Birkin is super-active either.

I honestly don't know of anyone that can succeed you. All of our active members are relatively new to the clan, with the exception of a few that have been around for a couple of months.

I recommend just picking a second co-leader, and handing the reigns over to him for awhile. If he proves acceptably competent, you can step down and hand it all over to him. That, or resume your old position if you feel the DF spark returning to you.

Unfortunately, nobody that frequents these forums fit all of the criteria you just listed. We might have a few long-standing members that never come around here, but such a person would make a rather wonky leader.

A random shot? I nominate Hellblaze as our new Fuhrer-intern. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and isn't particularly new. Also, I'm pretty sure he's over level 40, and fairly active. But I'm not entirely sure.

I am pretty inactive at the moment, and I apologize. Like most of you guys, I'm waiting for
3D to come out. There's just not much point in doing anything other than chatting and such
with other uc members until the clan system is released, and that will likely come with the
3D launch, so in the mean time I'm keeping myself busy with RS.

Me? Well if I must. But I would like to see you try to take a break till 3D, Wesker, and see if your interest is sparked. If it comes down to it, I will do what is needed.

But I would suggest Birkin over me any day. He has been here for a very long time. He is the second in command and as a situation like this usually stands, second in command steps up to first. He is more than capable.

A shame you're thinking of leaving so soon after I joined. :/

ASS doesn't count. It's purpose is to bring the livelihood and spirit of play back into the game. NOT to usurp the UC, as I have already been misquoted as asserting.

To be honest, I think we take ourselves a little too seriously when it comes to this clan.

Now before you grab the torch and pitchforks, hear me out for a second. I understand
that a certain degree attention is needed to run a clan. To ensure order and such. It also
stands to reason that you should play the game that you joined the clan for. But thats just
it. When did it stop becoming a game for us?

A few of us stopped playing because DF is boring in large doses. The game is bare bones
and doesn't have much to offer save for grind sessions and simplistic mission. MP is
balls up cause of sync issues. Which is a fucking stupid problem to have in a game thats
an MMORPG. Yes it technically is possible to play MP with your friends, but is entirely too
difficult at the time being and has been for the past few years.

So, we go to hang out on the forums, right? Well no, not even that works anymore. I don't
know about the rest of you, but I used to hang out on the DF forums when I didn't play the
game. I'd spend hours just chatting. Well, yea. That' impossible now. With all of the current
generation of web browsers sucking monkey balls, I'm lucky to be able to log into DF, much
less fuck around on the forums. Especially with players who insist on making the biggest,
most obnoxious and memory-draining signatures possible. If you can't get into playing and
you can't chat with anyone on the forums, what the hell do you do? Sit around and play
the market? Well. a valid activity, if you have the funds to do so.

Ah but then we don't HAVE to be strictly on DF, right? We can spend time on the UC forums!
The hub for all of UC! Well yea, that'd be fine too, if we could ever show up at one time.
The fact of the matter is, DF is a game and the clan is a product of the game. We shouldn't
take it too seriously. None of us should feel guilty for spending some time to ourselves and
indulging in other things from time to time.

Even if I quit playing DF, I'll continue to come to UC and help out if I can, because I like
you guys. I just hope that you aren't doing this Wesker because you feel guilty for some
inactivity.

I'd make a counterpoint argument, but meh.

I remember for like a week, anyone who wanted to be in the clan had to make me laugh. It was a funny week.

So far, the most likely candidates are HellBlaze or Kanden15, in my eyes.

Just a quick update..

I'm going to put a vote up, those two being the options.

Let's see who comes out on top with the whole of Umbrella voting.

Keep in mind that this doesn't absolutely determine the next leader. It simply lets me know who's the more popular choice, which IS a factor.

I'm gonna be the less popular choice. No doubt there. :/

Due to Kanden being brand spankin' new, and due to my knowing Hellblaze much better, my vote went to Hellblaze.

Exactly why I'm gonna lose the poll, if only I joined Umbrella way back when I first planned on it, over a year and a half ago... >_>

Lol... I was prepared to start and lead my own clan about a year ago, with Vlacid. I guess you can say that age is just a number in a lot of situations, but not many agree with that. =.=
