"Free Running" is a term for combining gymnastics and parkour.
In dnd, there's a feat called Acrobatic, it gives you +2 to Jump and Tumble checks.
So yea, Acrobatic + Parkour = Free Running. At least, that's how I see it.
When you get to the nit and grit of Free Running and Parkour, they're essentially
the exact same thing. It's only the mindset that differs. Going by what Wikipedia
says, the main difference between the two is this: Parkour = efficiency, while
Free Running is more creative flare.
The only way I can think of to involve both in D&D without them being the exact
same thing, would be to make Parkour a mode of movement, and Free Running
the feat I mentioned above. But I'm not entirely sure how this could be done.
Like I said, parkour would basically be a series of obstacle/Dice Challenge courses,
as in, you'd have to succeed a number of Dice Challenges related to parkour. With
each success, you'd advance to the next challenge. At the end of the challenge, you'd
be at your destination.
