I approve of Fallout. I can't preorder New Vegas, because I usually buy games when all the add ons come out. It saves money, because a new game costs $60+, but a few years later I can get it for $30 with all the add ons.

Preordered. Getting it. Was looking at it since the first official notice. I am a massive Bethesda fanboy and while they aren't making this one its based on one of their games (no prizes for guessing which) so i want to see their take on it.

I wouldn't call Fallout one of Bethesda's games...
I saw the humour (though definitely not as prominent as in the previous ones), and I definitely saw the same content. They changed a few things, such as traits, but for the most part it was the same.
It's the gameplay that changes it. It doesn't make it a different game.
It's, to me, just like the old Fallouts, but with a Bethesda twist on it.

Fallout 3 and Oblivion are VERY similar games.
There's a picture of a deathclaw screwing a daedroth on the internet. It made me laugh.

With a decent sized focus on Abraham Lincoln in Fallout 3, I want an add on to New Vegas where I remove Lincoln's face from Mount Rushmore.
In Fallout 3 I went to space, Maryland and Massachusetts. Why not take a trip to South Dakota?

This one isn't being developed by Bethesda, is it? I hear they're adding Gambling and such content from the older games back in this one.

No it's being developed by some people called umm...obsidian software or something like that. And yes their adding gambling along with a lot more weapons, special melee attacks, factions and reputation i think. As well as the ability to actually control your followers to some degree.

I still want to destroy Mount Rushmore in a future Fallout game. Also, 'Animal Friend' needs to stay as a perk. It 'twas awesome in Fallout, and saved my life more than once in Fallout 3.
There is no feeling like running into a bear cave to escape enemies, and watching your bear minions tear the raiders/Enclave/ghouls limb from limb.

They need to bring back Tragic, damnit. D:<
One of my best lulz in fallout 2 was after quietly chuckling over their magic the gathering joke, getting in my car, and then being stopped every few minutes with the "You have a strong desire to play Tragic." message.

Bethesda does what it does well.
If you wanted more individual voice actors, then you will get less of a game. People demand a lot of money to have their voice used. Programmers charge a lot too.
That's the only real problem I had. Too few voice actors, but what they did works. I always read white text in a sort of monotone voice, so it fits in with the first two Fallouts.
I liked Fallout 3 immensely. I'm actually walking places instead of clicking a destination, then hoping for no random encounters.
The only game related problem that could have been better is if it forced my view in a certain direction for events. Not the storyline events, it already does that. I'm talking about the Yao Guai cave, when you first enter it and a bear runs across the screen. I hear the event and the sudden scary music, but wasn't looking ahead. Also, I had the level 2 Animal Friend perk, so it provided good loot.
After completing the Operation Anchorage and Mothership Zeta, I had my character from Fallout 1. It was quite a fond reunion, my female Exodus with her T-51 Power Armor and Alien Blaster.

Some people dislike the direction Bethesda has started making their games in. For example, I've heard the argument that Oblivion "ruined" the Elder Scrolls series, and they then put that same taint into Fallout.

I liked Oblivion. I never wore pants, and huddled in dark caves eating mysterious mushrooms.

Morrowind had far more customization in it then Oblivion ever hoped to have..
I do admit Oblivion was a hell of a fun game however it would have been far superior had they taken the extra time to add in more armor and clothing that could be worn above said armor (I really missed that you couldn't wear capes.)

Capes would have caught on fire when you went into Oblivion.
