Encyclopedia Dramatica is No More

Some of you loved it. Some of you hated it. Regardless, if you try to get on it, you will now be redirected to its new incarnation, Ohinternet; http://ohinternet.com/Main_Page.

What's the difference between ED and this new site? The content matter has been significantly toned down to make it more user friendly. Instead of being where you go for cheap lulz, it's now meant to be a srs database for all things internet. Like we don't already have half a hundred sites that already fulfill this function.

Maybe I just have a terrible sense of humor, but I used to love going from page to page on ED, loling at the over-the-top offensiveness, and blatant use of shock tactics to increase said lols.

I loved it. It satisfied my fetish. Now it's gone PG, or as PG as you can hope to be while explaining what Goatse is in detail.

It deserved to die. We just cut out one tumor of the internet, now if we could shut down /b/ and remove some of the more extremist groups on deviant art, then it would finally be a place where people can actually have a conversation without 'tits or gtfo'.
