Or rather, the Dance began nearly a week ago, but work kept me away from the bookstore until just this evening.

Attention all ASoIaF fans (Z and Austin)!!! A Dance With Dragons, the anticipated 5th novel in the series has finally been released! I've been eagerly awaiting this day, licking my lips and wringing my hands in the corner for over two years now, and at long last the wait is over. I'm not even 25 pages in, and already there's been fights, killings, rapings, whorings, drunkenness, cocks, tits, bestiality, incest, skinshifting, scheming, and gasp-worthy plot revelations! I mourn the fact that there are only about 940 pages left to go...

Enjoy this one, lads. If the past is any indicator, then we can't expect the Winds of Winter for a good five years, and as we're all well aware, our beloved actor is quite elderly, and morbidly obese. And busy with a dozen other projects and tours besides.

The Dance has begun, and I can already tell it'll be one to remember. Let's just hope it isn't the last we see of the Seven Kingdoms.

Oh, and I STILL haven't seen past the third episode of the HBO series. Eagerly awaiting the DVD release.
