My dad's old roomate was a fat middle-aged Mexican woman who was Buddhist. She ate a package of raw beef for breakfast almost every day, stunk up the bathroom HORRIBLY, got into everyone's business, bitched a lot about not having AC, and generally just caused weird problems with everyone.

As earlier stated, I am a Pacifist-Nihilist-Pessimistic-Optimist. Simply put, I see no inherent meaning or value in human existence, however I do not think that lack of purpose justifies any sort of violence against another human, excepting self-defense. I like to look on the bright side of things, but I try not to let it alter my judgment. Some would say that being a pessimistic-optimist is akin to being a realist, but I'm way too bipolar for that.

The way I see it, we should all just try to live our lives and enjoy them the most we can without ruining it for anyone else. Always strive to stroll on the sunny side of the sidewalk, but forget not that there's probably a rapist watching you from the bushes.

Coincidentally, I adopted the anti-violent-live-life-to-the-funnest ideology of your average stoner long before I ever picked up my first joint. The drugs have certainly had an effect on the extremity of my optimisms and pessimisms however, I'll surely grant you that.

The nihilism, on the other hand, is a result of having gone religiously bankrupt religiously rich, then religiously bankrupt again and again. I guess you could say I've given up the search for higher meaning. Or it could just be that I like the word nihilism. I believe I've said it four times in the past thirty hours, and now I'll say it once more;

"Pacifist-Nihilist-Pessimistic-Optimist." It has a nice ring to it, yet I intend to add and remove a few more words over the course of the next year. Unfortunately, the path to self discovery tends to only lead through thicker woods...

Thusly so my religion is death and the necessity of one to die. Being such my religious meditation is upon death and what my death will be like.

Think of it like this. I am an apple dropped from a tree doomed to one day rot and have my nutrients absorbed by the tree and recycled into more apples that so too shall drop from the tree. My purpose is this simple. My reward? A lifetime of pondering which day is mine to rot.

I've had quite a few as of recent. Yet that is mildly against the point. I firmly believe that a persons religion should make them happy my religious standpoint has brought me more joy and sanity than many of my past "sparks of enlightenment" that had me eventually writing in blood. XD In my view, accepting the inevitability of death and the fact that your death brings forth new life is a rather exciting and happy one. Though you will soon die to make way for new life, so too was existence ended for you to enter once again into the universe. This being so, I've been brought to the conclusion that though the meaning of life is death, the meaning of death is life. That being, so too must the meaning of life be none other than life and the act of living. If the purpose of life is to live then it is quite obvious that those who go against this balance with senseless bloodshed betray this meaning. The reason I say senseless is it is the unfortunate truth that life must be consumed to continue some forms of life. This concludes me to believe that plants are the perfect existence.

I'll stop my ranting there for now.

Yes, happiness is the key. If what you believe makes you happy, (and in my opinion, as long as it doesn't hurt others) then it's the right thing to believe.

just out of interest, how is anarchy compatible with any other political ideology? anarchy is the belief or desire to live without state or government providing rules and constraints on the individual, yet the socialist ideologies you mention are defined by state control and regulation. i just cant see how its possible to believe on the one hand, in a system that believes in no central bureaucracy, organisation, laws, rules, guidelines, or government of any kind, and on the other submit to socialist ideologies such as communism that are inherently bureaucratic to the extreme. its like deciding you despise everything non-white, then moving to a black neighbourhood, marrying an asian woman, and eating Chinese food every day whilst looking at your Aborginal artwork collection and talking about how nice it would be to sponsor a child or 3 in Africa.
