'BANG BANG BANG'

Soldiers shot at the infected that were closed in on the base. It wasn't a challenge for them currently but it meant that there were more to come soon. Khrushchev left an emergency message broadcasting on all radio frequencies in a continuous loop in the hope that any umbrella operative left alive in the city could hear it. The message contained information on the disease and the location of their base. He prepared for the oncoming onslaught.

The complex was physically in ruins. The blast cut off electricity in some parts, and water from the recycling tanks was spilling onto the floor. Pest pulled his socks over his pants and hoped he wouldn't have to explain why.

They came upon a junction. So far, no zombies. Actually they saw nothing but deep claw marks. "Wesker, come with me. Kalia and Malik, go right down the hall.", Pest said, pointing down a hall. "Follow the signs, you'll get there. Find something we can use."

Wesker nodded, and followed Pest into the cafeteria, although it was more like into a living nightmare.

Corpses, spread along the walls and ceiling. Gore, blood, and entrails stained every surface. Pest gagged at the sight, but was more concerned with the slimy meaty thing wrapping around his ankle.

"Lickers!", Pest shouted, before being pulled off his feet and under a table.

Roxy was pissed. Not only had the only person she tolerated been ingested, but now her Trigger shirt had bloodstains on it. She shrieked with rage, spun around, and decapitated the second zombie from the nose up. Unfortunately however, this only caused MORE blood to get on her. "This cost forty dollars!!!" she roared, swinging around again, beheading the third ghoul with gusto. Then, turning to the rest of the stumbling offenders, she flipped them the bird and told them to suck her nonexistent dick.

Not before spitting on the bodies of the two zombies that had ruined her shirt, she evacuated the Baskin Robbins she'd come to loot. A girl never turns down free ice cream, unless of course, zombies are there to ruin your only outfit. In the average apocalypse, there is no change of clothes, or so she'd come to find out.

Grumbling to herself, she dashed out the front door, sending the hard metal frame into the face of an encroaching zombie. Darting immediately to the left, she intended to slip semi-unseen into the alley, but she found it to be packed full of boogums. "Ah, fuck me!" She shouted, turning on her heels. The alley would have been a nice shortcut, but now it seemed taking the long way around was an inevitability.

Breaking into a run, she made for her second destination; the local town gun store. Or rather, one of SEVERAL local town gun stores. When she'd first come to spend the summer here, she'd been amazed by how many there were. It almost felt like home.

"I think I'll take a Benelli," she thought to herself as she sidestepped a disemboweled doberman, "Or maybe just one of those Dirty Harrys!"

She laughed with glee. Oh, the fun she'd soon have!

Thus, she made for Grimbart's Gun Emporium, which, if she recalled correctly, was located right next to a hotel of some sort.

Wesker had never moved faster in his life. He tried to grab Pest before he went under the table, but his actions were in vain.

Noticing the panic, the Rifleman hurried towards the table under which Pest had slid, flipped it up in an attempt to reveal the creature, and was instantly slashed across the stomach by the Licker's claws.

Wesker shot the creature multiple times with his M14, and the creature fell dead, but so did the Rifleman. He grabbed one of the large kitchen knives and cut the tongue off of Pest's foot..

Proceeding over to the corpse of his fallen comrade, he closed the rifleman's eyes, said a few words, and regained his composure.

Wesker took some ammo off the dead Rifleman, along with his M4A1 and his radio. "He won't be using these..." he said.

"Let's move o-" Wesker started, but his speech was interrupted by a loud moaning.

"That'll have to wait." Wesker said to Pest. "We've got some more important matters at hand." He continued, unholstering his HK UCP and pointing it at the zombies that had just entered the room.

"Thank you.", Pest managed to say as he picked up his rifle. The strap holding it on his back broke during the fall. Before he could take aim he heard glass shattering, and the first zombie caught fire.

"Aim high!", someone shouted, throwing another beaker. Pest looked over at the food line. A ragtag group of about six scientists had set up a miniature chemical lab behind the salad bar. Pest grabbed Wesker and pulled him behind the serving tables.

A scientist slid over to greet them as the others threw things.

"Have you seen Devin?", the scientist asked, pushing his glasses back up his nose.

"I saw a grisly mess that could have been Devin.", Pest said. "How did the BOW's get out?"

"A security officer shot the cooling system that kept them frozen.", he said. "We were trying to coax the licker back into the freezer when you burst in. I'm sorry about your friend."

"The mission comes first. Have any of the Tyrants been released?", Pest asked.

"Thank god no.", he replied. "They are just down the hall. The problem being now are the half dozen or so lickers in that hall."

Pest's eyes lit up. "Don't worry. The experimental weapons storage is on the way.", he said, a grin forming on his face.

Micky woke up much later than he intended to. He groaned and rolled over, clenching his eyes shut against the sun which shone through his blinds.

Micky groaned again. He'd been out drinking the day before. There was a horrible taste in his mouth, like a small rodent had decided to obtain dysentery and than shit itself to death inside of it. Micky's eyes opened slowly. The first thing he saw was his clock. His eyes suddenly opened a lot wider.

"ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME?" He shouted at the top of his lungs.

He got dressed quickly in his customary uniform--blue overalls, a matching cap--and started out the door.

"Aw shit!" He exclaimed halfway down his apartments stairs, and started back up them.

He'd forgotten his toolbox. How could he do his job without it?

An hour later he was nearing his client's house. He'd have been there later if it wasn't for the traffic, and he was over an hour late due to waking up late. Oh well, if his client gave him shit he'd just give him the finger. Always had worked in the past.

He climbed the steps to his client's apartment. What a shithole, this whole complex seemed to be falling apart. The garbage cans were thrown over, all kinds of crap littered the parking lot. And...holy shit. Is that a bloodstain? Jesus christ this part of town was bad.

He reached the top of the stairs. The apartment door was thrown open carelessly. Micky knocked on the door frame a few times.

There was no answer.

Kalia moved along the hall, her weapon at the ready. Malik followed her at a distance. They came to a T-junction, with a sign in the middle. Kalia wiped the blood off of it with her sleeve, wiped her sleeve on her pants, then scanned sign with her finger until she found the parking lot on it.

"We need to go left.", she called back. Turning left, something lunged at her, wrapping its hands around her shoulders. "Fuck! Help!", she managed to shout.

You know the world is completely fucked up when a brother has to save a cop.

"Awww hell naw!"
Malik swung his pistol around firing off a round that landed right between the eyes of the zombie.

Kalia threw herself to the floor and drew her pistol.
"Wow, it almost got me..." Kalia, said staring at the motionless corpse.

"Naw I missed. I was aiming for you." Malik lowered his pistol and starting walking towards the parking lot.

"Excuse me?!" Kalia said walking after him.

"We gotta get a ride fucking outta this place."

"Well not just yet, we still need to get the antidote to this virus."

"Fuck, I hope that shit ain't real. Cause, if it is, shit's about to get a whole hell lot worse..."

The onslaught by the infected became increasingly to hold off with 20 infected coming per wave which came about 5 minutes apart. Khrushchev began firing at the infected with the dragunov he carried on defensive missions. He had 5 hours before this base was vacated.

Tony was circling above city in a modified black hawk.

"This is umbrella flier 666 call sign Loki, broadcasting on all Umbrella secure channels and PA systems, I am over the circling over the city now on orders to pick up umbrella personnel please respond."

Tony continued to circle praying that no airborne BOW's where out.

A dull hissing came over the intercom, but Kalia couldn't make it out.

'It must've been damaged by the explosion', she thought to herself, along with, 'I really hate this guy.'

They came to the garage, after only a little trouble. The door had a suit of armor engraved above the lock.

"That's neat.", Kalia said, pointing to it. "I wonder why they did that."

Malik ignored her, and tried the door. Locked.

"I think we're supposed to find a key.", Kalia said, unholstering her weapon. "But we don't have time for that."

The lock broke on the first shot. Inside, cars of all shapes and sized awaited.

Malik let out a long whistle.

"Hot damn, these rides is fresh as hell!"

The garage was massive, housing many employee cars along with designated military and service vehicles.

Kalia scanned over a map of the garage on the wall besides the door.

"It looks like there's a bunch of access tunnels we can take through the garage to get out of the city."

"Crazy batcave shit. Now where da' fuck is dat batmobile."

Malik casually jogged down the aisle of cars.

"Shitty... Shitty... Shitty... Decent... Shitty..."

Malik stopped infront of the reserved military parking.
"Now this is what I'm talking about."
In front of him stood a modified MRAP II (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle). The 6 wheeled beast weighs in at 14 tons with added reinforced armor and explosion resistant armor. It's huge hood covers a massively powerful engine which enables the truck to go over 70 miles an hour.

"Can't find shit like this in the ghetto."

Kalia looked at the vehicle unconvinced.
"You know without keys that's just a hunk of metal."

"That crazy looking guy better have the key. Ain't he suppos' to be here by now with the viral thing?"

Kalia turned towards the open garage door.
"I wonder what's taking them so long..."
