Island of Insanity

Tinie stood dumbstruck at what just happened.

"I think we should continue onto the island....somehow.."

Lock stared for a couple seconds at the remarkable event that just defied everything he knew about the world.
"I ... I... guess we should keep moving."

Lock touched crixus who was floating in midair, frozen. As soon as Lock touched him, Crixus fell to the ground squawking and chirping, evidently as confused as the rest of them.

"Sooo... which way are we going?" Lock said as Crixus hopped on his shoulder.

Hector looked in all directions to notice they all appeared the same.

"We will all have trials," said Hector thinking loudly, "So how will we know which trial is who's?"

Hector continued to look around until a small cottage with smoke coming out of it randomly appeared from a previously looked at direction.

"Lets try that way," he said walking toward the little wooden house.

Hector slowly opened the door and peered around inside. It was a well furnished little house with a small fire going in the furnace. A large reflecting glass took up the left wall causing the room to appear larger.

Hector walked towards it and looked into it just now seeing his face which had no burn mark or scar on it. Trying not to attach himself to the reflection he turned away but turned back slowly to look into it.

The reflection grinned at him evilly and the face shaped satanically like clay into another face.

"Don't look into it!" shouted Hector turning back around and closing his eyes, "I do not know what but there is something about that mirror that is evil!"

Tinie and Tia turned but Lock remained starring at the mirror entranced at his own reflection. Lock pulled out his dagger and so did that in the mirror. The mirror image began to move by itself however and lunged its blade at Lock. The blade went threw the mirror and stabbed Lock in the arm tearing threw his shirt and piercing his flesh. Lock looked back at the reflection and then at his own arm. He noticed instantly that his right arm began to bleed and the left arm of the mirror's image began to bleed. With that the reflection came out of the mirror taking the form of Lock and wielding its own blade.

BATTLE: LOCK AND EVIL LOCK
Lock will decide upon what corse of action he will take and based upon this his sanity will be judged. Hints have been highlighted in the post so contemplate on these and then decide the least expected coarse of action

Lock stared at his grinning reflection. Blood was dripping down his left arm.

"This isn't real," Lock said to himself, "There is no way this is happening."

The pain in his arm didn't agree with his thinking, however.

Lock focused himself. "This isn't real, the pain is not real." Lock said to the mirror image. "You are me, if I can feel pain, so can you..."

Lock noticed the reflection bleeding out of his right arm and the reflection's left arm.
"Backward... Like a mirror, eh?"

Lock raised his blade in the air, and pointed it downwards towards himself. Hector yelled something, but it was too late. Lock jammed the blade down into the right side of his chest, between the ribs.

Lock ripped the sword out and fell to the ground.

The evil clone fell to the ground throwing up blood. Soon it quite moving entirely and suddenly shattered into tiny pieces of glass.

"EXCELLENT!" shouted a voice that echoed from all directions, "MARVELOUS! YOU HAVE PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS CHILD OF INSANITY! COME FORTH!"

"What?" said Lock looking around confused when suddenly smoke started to come out of his mouth.

Suddenly fire came from inside the half-elf and he cried out in agony and terror as his body was consumed by the purple flame surrounding him. Only a few seconds later and only ash remained of the fellow comrade.

Crixus swooped down toward the ashen remains and looked about confused when suddenly he let out a loud craw and burst into flames also.

"My god," said Hector looking at the ash, "I.. hope he is still alive.."

Hector fumbled for his things and walked slowly toward the door.

"It is best we should be leaving this place I assume," said Hector walking of the house with Tinie fallowing him.

Tia was walking out of the door when something spoke to her.

"Hello," said something behind her.

She turned to look around the room but noticed nothing.

"Down here!" shouted the voice.

Tia looked down to see a book lying on the ground. It was old and leather bound with a sun and a moon in the middle of it.

"I need your help," said the book, "Can you help me?"

"What do you want..." said Tia wondering why she was talking to a book.

"I am a man that was turned into a book! I was told if I was opened that I could turn back into my human form!" said the book helplessly, "Open me!!!"

Tia began to walk over to the book and lifted it up feeling a magical presence trickle through her fingers.

"NO!" shouted a booming voice from behind her, "DO NOT OPEN THE BOOK!"

Again she looked around then noticed a mosquito sitting on a dresser.

"BURN IT!" shouted the mosquito rattling the house with it's meer voice, "THAT BOOK MAY BE A MAN BUT IT IS A MAN OF SANITY! YOU WILL PLAGUE OUR WORLD IF YOU HELP HIM! KIIIIIILLLL HHIIIIIMMM!!"

"I will help you if you help me!" said the book begining to worry, "I will grant you powers beyond comprehension! This land is insane and the people in it! Help me and we will escape this place together and go back to the real world! OPEN MEE!!!""

Tia turned around noticing all the doors, windows, and entrances into the other rooms were now gone and she was trapped in a room with a book and a mosquito and a furnace.

It is up to Tia to decide which coarse of action should be taken burn the book or open the book.

HINT: This is a straight forward test and what you see is what you get. Do what the book says or do what the mosquito says.. you decide your course of action.

As for Lock you may have to take a break from posting for a day or two for the other's to gain access to Sheelry. You are not dead but it is easier if we all go to Sheelry at the same time than at separate times

"The promise of power is of little credit to someone who does not wish power.", Tia said. "If you were to have promised love, or something else that a nymph like me would wish, than I would have been more inclined to do as you ask."

Tia stood with the book in her hands for awhile, thinking deeply. Her eyes lit up when she finally came to a realization.

"KIIIILLLLL HIIIIIMMMMMM", the mosquito screamed.

With a swift motion, she swatted the mosquito, looking at it twitch in death. A few more slams of the book on the dresser, and she was finished.

"I am sorry book, but I do not know how to read.", Tia replied, walking over and tossing the book into the furnace.

'What now', Tia thought.

It had been quite awhile since they lost Tia. They quickly decoded that they needed to get to a high area, only because a hill appeared out of nowhere.

The hill was barely as tall as a two story house, and was nothing special. The top part was flat and they could see for miles. Not that there was anything to see. Hector was about to say something, when he was hit by a goat. Tinie watched in morbid fascination as the goat threw Hector around a bit more.

"Onward, to VICTORY!", the goat announced. It swiftly grabbed Tinie by the collar and dashing downhill.

When Hector finally stood up and gathered himself together, he noticed that the previously small hill he was on was now a large cylindrical pillar. The sides of the pillar shot down sharply as far as he could see.

Small floating stones were floating just outside of the pillar, forming a sort of path. A small black outline, probably Tinie and the goat, was speeding along the ground.

DO OR DIE
You have two choices, walk along the floating stones, or jump.

The mosquito regenerated were it lay and looked mincingly at Tia.

"HOW DARE YOU DEFY ME!" shouted the mosquito in a rage, "I WILL TIE YOU DOWN AND HAVE PIGS LICK YOUR TOES FOR ETERNITY FOR THAT!"

The mosquito looked to the furnace and saw that the book was burning (and screaming in pain). The mosquito sat for a moment looking at the furnace and back at Tia.

"Though you tried to kill me," said the mosquito in a smoother tone, "You killed the book. An odd character you are... I LIKE THAT! GO FORTH TO SHEELRY!"

The mosquito flew over to Tia and bit her on the neck then vanished into smoke. Tia began to feel light headed and her skin began to turn red. Soon her body expanded until finally she exploded into thousands of pieces of dust.

Hector looked about and assessed the situation. The floating rocks appeared to be a good way down... almost to easy of a way down. However the rocks came down faster and time was running short. With that Hector leaped into the air and plummeted to the ground.

After being kidnapped by a goat, Tinie found himself in the middle of a forest somewhere.

"Ok....Tinie, control yourself....", he said to himself. "You've been through worse before...."

Voices could be heard from afar. Tinie crept closer, using his special ability(hide in forest settings).

The visage before him startled him greatly. It was a camp, with two campfires, and all the people he had met on that night. Only something was wrong, dreadfully wrong with the way they looked. They looked bloodied, scarred, and brutal.

They were survivors of some horrible act of war. Braavos was trying to figure a way out, a place nearby to hide. His voice was little more than a whisper, but he could be heard by all. The others were tending to wounds sustained. The brutalized Tinie or Lock could not be found. Were they dead? What act of savagery befell the group in this test?

"Ok...crazy...do something crazy.....", Tinie said to himself, wracking his brains for some sort of insane thought. It finally hit him. "What is the least thing you want to happen when you are hiding?"

Hide & Seek

A bright flare emitted from the end of Tinie's staff, illuminating the dark forest around them. Shouts and screams were heard as the group tried to ready themselves.

They didn't stand a chance. A living wave of dark figures swept over the camp, extinguishing the campfires.

Braavos was struck by an arrow of darkness early on, but he continued fighting. Wolf fought bravely, tearing his own through the oncoming hoard.

Wolf fell first, the sheer mass of wounds sustained finally got to him. Zak and Dathdr stood side by side, both trying bravely to repel the creatures from afar, but were both shot down by a swarm of dark arrows.

Zay never even stood up, the recognition of her demise so eminent, why fight it? She wasn't granted death, they seemed to leave her alone.

Tinie couldn't make out the rest of the fight, one of the figures stopped right in front of him. Glowing red eyes staring directly at Tinie.

"What an insane things to do," said one of the shadow figures with red eyes and a wide grin, "Give away the position of fellow friends to the jaws of death?"

The figure stood silently for a moment staring down at Tinie.

"MAGNIFICENT!" shouted the figure who's eyes suddenly turned purple, "Sheelry Islands it is for you!"

The shadow drew out a blade and stabbed Tinie through the bottom of his jaw and impaling his head onto the sword. Without hesitation the blade turned into thousands of smaller blades that impaled through the rest of his face. Like go his body melted to the ground into a puddle of water which was soaked quickly into the ground.

Chapter 1: Welcome to Insanity (Stay Awhile)

Rules of Insanity:
1. Do not cry in a public building. If thou findest the need cry then stick both feet into a boiling pot of gravy and commence in thine tears.
2. Do not eat orange fruit.
3. Do not dance by yourself. If thou feel like dancing do thus for all to see!
4. Do not call the Prince of Insanity by his true name. Punishment shall be cast upon thee who do.
5. Do not eat pastries on Morundes (Tuesday) as it is a bad omen for the homeless.
6. Do not smell orange fruit.
7. Do not read a book pertaining to the past as the past is looked down upon.
8. Do not cremate a ghoul as his family will seek to kill thee.
9. Do not think about orange fruit.
10. Anything the Prince of Insanity does not see insanely fitting shall be included in this rule for anyone whom decides to do such a thing.

Hector dusted the grass off his clothing and looked around. The sun was high in the air and the grass field swayed like an ocean in the wind. Hector leaned against a tree marveling at the view around him on the small hill he was on.

"This place is beautiful," he said, "What is so insane about it?"

"While I've been here I have noticed a few odd things about this place," said Lock pointing at a tree.

"For instance," began Lock, "Notice the roots of the trees grow toward the sky instead of in the ground. What holds the trees to the ground I have yet to discover. Another thing to note is the grass is swaying as if there was a breeze however notice there is no wind."

"Hmm..." said Hector pondering these things.

As he thought he knelt down to the ground and slowly reached out toward the grass. As if it feared him it bent away from his hand making sure it did not touch him.

"This place truly is a bit off," said Hector continuing to look around.

"I'M GLAD YOU HAVE TAKEN NOTICE OF MY HANDY-WORK!" shouted a voice from the sky, "I, THE PRINCE OF INSANITY, WOULD LIKE TO BE THE FIRST TO WELCOME YOU TO SHEELRY! OBEY THE RULES AND YOU WILL BE LOVED HERE; IGNORE THESE RULES HOWEVER AND YOU SHALL BE PUNISHED FOR ETERNITY! IT IS QUITE A LOVELY PLACE!"

"So what are the rules," said Tinie looking toward the sky.

No reply.

"Ah well," said Tinie, "Lets ask the first person we come about then."

"Indeed," said Hector, "We should look for a local town possibly to sell our equipment and find a meal."

The group looked about but saw no place to go. Lock attempting to find alternate means climbed up a tree.

"I see a town in the distance!" he said hanging from the tree and looking to the North, "It is tha-

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" came an unknown voice from behind the group.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" shouted a pig dashing from a bush and running full speed past the group.

"What the-

Hector was cut of from his sentence as a man leaped from the same bush running at the big with a small blunt stick waving it in the air like a madman. The man wore orange tights (A leotard) and was barefoot with long brown hair.

"Ya cant' run from me laddy!" shouted the man waving the stick at the pig and sprinting at it.

The pig now desperate to escape made a U-turn attempting to run past the man.

"[color:75bf=orange]GOT YA!" he shouted throwing the small stick at the pig and hitting it on the head.

"I think you should try a sharper sti-" began Tinie before e was cut off by the screaming of the pig.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!" it cried out before its head exploded into thousands of tiny pieces of bone and brain.

"The family will eat goood tonight!" said the man running over and grabbing his stick and putting it in a sac, "I've never seen you bunch before! You moost be new! Meh names Jurdich, why don't ya come back with me for super and we can find you a hotel to be stayen ot."

"Sounds..." said Hector looking at the pig with a missing head on the ground, "Wonderful."

"EXCELLENT!" said Jurdich leaping in the air, "Your little slave midget can carry the meal!"

Jurdich threw the pig at Tinie who fell to the ground with the bleeding animal on top of him.

"Not a very strong slave midget is he..."

"He isn't a slave," said Lock helping Tinie up (who was red in the face for having a headless pig thrown on him), "He is a companion."

"What a queer (odd) companion!" said Jurdich looking at Lock funny, "I would rather be friends with a Scholar! Well come on then lets go make us a meal."

The group fallowed after the man (Lock being stuck with the dead pig) until they reached an odd village. The houses' walls were painted purple on the Western side and blue on the Southern. They lacked windows and had circular port wholes as doors. The smoke that came from the houses was pink and the streets were gold. The townspeople were embroidered with jagged and pointed clothing that mostly had black and gold in them and their hair was usually pointed up like a spike. The group went into Jurdich's house and ate a supper of pig and cabbage with strawberries for dessert. Full from their meal they exchanged goodbyes with Jurdich and his family of 14 children and two wives. After looking about the town they came across a little in which they found could be stayed in as long as they did not find themselves led to cry.

"We shall split up and explore the village," said Hector looking at the buildings, "Do your sales and buying and meet back at the inn for rest. I do not know what tomorrow will bring but perhaps we should set search for the Prince of Insanity.

Tinie stayed close to Tia, for fear of another corpse landing on him. Tia swayed lightly as she walked through the streets, humming a tune in a language Tinie didn't understand. 'It must have been some sort of nymph song.', Tinie thought to himself.

Tia seemed perfectly as ease in this place, although Tinie had a fit trying to find explanations for things.

Tia stopped at a vendor to get something, so Tinie got his first good look around. The streets were a sort of golden stone. He tried to chip off a few chunks, it wouldn't give. The citizens of the town were fairly disorienting. A man on fire was smoking his pipe on a bench, completely unaffected to the fact he was on fire.

Tinie stood there for awhile, watching people go by.

A large duck sat on the counter. There was no one else in the store, so Tia helped herself to things in the store.

"Do you know where the limeroot is?", Tia asked the duck quizzically. The duck pointed with its wing to the third shelf on the left.

"Thank you."

The duck quacked in approval.

After Tia gathered what she needed, and the duck paid her for stealing, Tia picked up the twitchy gnome outside and continued towards the inn.

After a large misunderstanding, finally noticing that Tinie was walking beside her, Tia apologized to the small person, gave him a bolsa, and continued onward.

The town was strange indeed. Tinie did the best he could trying not freak out because of some of the people he saw, although nothing was horribly wrong with some of them, others were less than pleasing to look at.

Tinie tried to look at normal people, they seemed normal enough, except for having obscene things happen to them. A noble with a cane walked past Tinie, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with him. Odd....

Tinie heard a weird noise above him. Red lightning was arcing across the sky, and even the citizens found this weird.

The noble from earlier had gone, but he reminded Tinie of someone...someone familiar...

"Tinie, it's been forever, we should continue on our own.", Tia whispered to Tinie. "Hector and Lock can surely take care of themselves."

"Yeah...", Tinie said to himself. Tinie got up from his nine legged chair, and followed Tia outside.

They left the inn, heading in a direction that the both thought might be east. The streets were quiet, and mostly empty except for two men sword fighting with a cactus.

"There was this noble earlier...He reminded me of Braag.", Tinie finally said after awhile of walking.

"The lord is here?", Tia asked, confused. "Why here of all places? He can't come here, he was banished."

They had reached a forest of some sort now. It was dense, you could hardly see into the trees, but the ground was perfectly fine. No grass or roots hindered their path.

"I know who I saw. It twas him.", Tinie declared finally.

Tia looked up suddenly, and shifted into the trees. Tinie looked around, and finally saw them.

Orcs?, goblins? These things resembled them. They were the same size as Tinie, a first for things that wanted to kill him. Trolls? No, trolls lived under bridges and in swamps, not in the jungle. Giants? No, giants were humanoid, and much larger than these things.

'What are these things?', Tinie thought to himself, bracing himself for combat.

-Tinie vs. 34 Kobolds-

They wielded spears, furs and sticks, but Tinie had magic. Their primitive nature and weapons stood no match for the Gnome Overlord.

__FIGHT__

Tinie hadn't tested out his Mithril Spellbook yet, but the first blast told him that whatever had given it to him had some serious problems.

A crater with ice burns around it lay where four of them had stood.

"Whoa.", Tinie commented.

While Tinie was standing awestruck, the kobolds had planted a counter attack. Dozens of small wooden arrows shot at Tinie, and he had no time or chance to defend himself. He raised his arms to cover his face.

Only three hit him. The rest hung suspended in air, and then all dropped to the ground.

They began charging by the masses. Tinie tried to defend himself against this onslaught, but his sword skills were lacking considerably. Strike after strike hit him, until he was knocked to the ground.

Taking advantage of the situation, one of the creatures grabbed a rock and was about to smash Tinie when it was blasted and hit by a staff.

"Tia?", Tinie asked, watching.

Tia didn't have a staff. A man with the staff had knocked the kobold off, and was finishing off the remaining few. He swung his staff left, and fire rained down upon them. The swung right, and lighting hit them. A few stragglers had spread away from the group, and he fought them tooth and nail with staff swings.

Tinie hadn't noticed the extent of his injuries, and passed out on the ground. Before he fell asleep, soft hands picked him up.

Back in the Inn, Tinie was resting. He had taken quite a beating from the Kobolds. Some day he would realize that hiding was a very effective way for this not to happen. Poor gnome.

Besides the man on fire and the duck clerk, the town was fairly nice. Sure, the people had on rather sharp clothing, you couldn't stand to close to someone, and their hair was off a bit, but it was nice.

The people lived in a sort of harmless bliss. Tia found this out by walking around the entire town looking for Lock or Hector. She hadn't seen them for awhile.

"Psssssssst!", a rough voice whispered through the window. "Tinie!"

Tinie ignored the voice. Who or whatever it was, it could wait. His injuries were too harsh for movement right now.

"Pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssstttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt", the rough voice whispered.

"Tinie, did you say something?", Tia asked.

"Something is outside.."

Tia went to the window, and looked outside. She opened it, and found a coconut. She was about to comment when they heard a noise in the doorway.

"Bravicimo!", Braag shouted, barging into the room. "Tinie, I can clearly see that you are not fit for this realm. Your tiny little head is spinning squares around everything you see. Would you like to go home?"

"What is your definition of 'home'?", Tinie asked. "And why did you try to smother me?!"

"Oh posh, forget the past. It never happened.", Braag replied. "Home is wherever you eat your hat. Mmmmmmm......hat......"

Tinie watched him salivate for awhile.

Braag shook his head, regaining his bicycle of thought. A flash of light, and he was the only one left in the room. Ha sat by himself and began gnawing on the dresser.

Tinie and Tia have left the Island of Insanity

(This was wrote in 15 minutes so yes I know how crappy it is..)

Hector looked about town looking for his friends but none of them were to be seen. After hours of searching he finally gave up searching and went on the journey alone.

The Tower of Insanity

“Excuse me but were would I find the Prince of Insanity?” said Hector talking to a random town citizen of capital city.

The man pointed at a large tower and went back to tending his crops.

Hector began his way to the tower when a cloaked man walked toward him.

“Your not from around here are you..?” he said looking at Hector.

“I’m just a traveler here to see the Prince,” said Hector nudging the man aside and walking toward the tower.

“I want to show you something…” said the cloaked man slyly putting his hand on Hector’s shoulder.

“What would that be?” said Hector.

“A group of councilmen that need your help,” said the cloaked man, “It is urgent.. You could be the chosen one..”

Hector squinted his eyes and fallowed the man down into the basement of a small shabby hut. Though the exterior was falling apart and mangled the interior of the basement was incrusted with gold and silk.

“We are the Councilmen of Insanity,” said the cloaked man pointing toward a group of men at a table (25 in all).

“What would you have of me?” said Hector looking around in awe.

“The Prince of Insanity that you know and are seeking out recently became the leader after his fathers death..” said the cloaked man… “However we found out he killed his father to gain right to the thrown and plans to take steps to destroy Insanity!!!”

“What does this have to do with me again..?” said Hector confused, “How can I help?”

“By helping us kill the king and retake the thrown to Insanity.”

“What do I get out of this…?”

“All the bolsa you can imagine..”

“I will do it then.”

Hour later!

After being decked out in armour Hector prepares TO FIGHT!

“Hello!” said the Prince of Insanity turning around to see his guest.

“Hi,” said Hector unsheathing his blade.

“What is this about?”

“I’ve come to kill you and take back the thrown.”

“YOU FOOL!”

BATTLE
---------

Hector lunged and Vabin (Prince of Insanity) to be stabbed through his rib by Vabin’s sword. He fell to the ground coughing up blood. Using his own sword he swung at Vabin’s leg cutting him down to size by making him fall to his knee. Hector lunged the blade through Vabin’s throat but was surprised as he pulled the sword out of his skin.

“You wont kill me like that,” said Vabin, “Nor will you ever kill me… Goodbye”

Vabin stabbed Hector threw the heart and Hector cried out in pain. Suddenly Hector burst into flames (though dead) and the flames crawled up Vabin’s blade consuming him also.. Vabin screamed in pain as his skin burned away from his bone and he fell to the ground. (When Vabin stabbed Hector he stabbed through a few viles containing flammable liquid that created an ungodly blaze).

END BATTLE!
Hector died.


Lock looked around as the world began to crumble and rip. Purple vortexes appeared in all directions and rock shards feel from the sky. The grass turned blue and the mountains turned to clouds.

“My god,” he said looking around him.

A rock shard fell toward him but he leaped backward (leaping into a purple vortex accidentally).

Everything blackened as he passed out from the cold air against his skin..
(Lock passed our. When you awake you will find yourself in Nebenos lying by the dead and burned body of Hector)

Unkown to Hector when he agreed the Prince of Insanities actions were truly Insane and the “Insane Council” a group of men who have grown tired of their existence in insanity tricked him into killing the final heir to the thrown destroying the Island forever…. The end!!
