Bear shows you how to survive crazy shit. Is it realistic that a a person would accidentally fall into a bog pit? Nope.

But Bear does it anyway to show you how to get out. He may fake some parts but the purpose of the show is to teach you how to survive.

You can't call him a pussy unless you yourself have cut open a dead camel, using just a pocket knife, then sleeping inside of its' stomach.

Honestly, I think the stuff Les Stroud shows you is more practical. There's an episode where like 10 minutes was dedicated to showing the viewer have to make a snare trap. Les than caught a jackrabbit, and sat down and showed the viewer how to skin it and not harm the fur so that it could be used to make a sock or something with it.


To me, that is far cooler than Bear showing me how to escape a goddamn bog.
