Sonofabitch!

3 Times I've ran into this damn thing in a week! The first time was fine! I was so excited that I had
run into -THE- boss monster of the game for the first time in my DF career. The second time was
funny because of the way it killed me! Third time.. Yea, its starting to get fucking old.

I'll be the first to tell you that I suck at DF. I sucked back in 2D, and that was when I was at my
best. I never could survive in Death Row. Could barely handle looting any of the larger, or more
famous looting areas. Shit, I'd never even SEEN a Green Fatty or Longarm, much less the Behemoth.

So how am I supposed to handle fighting Mr. T? The most logical answer to that would be practice,
but I can't exactly do that when it takes 10-12 minutes to get into the inner city from the outpost,
and 12-18 to get back in after dying! We thought the death timer was bad before? Shit, depending
on the quality if internet you have, it could be double or triple that...

Ugh.

I know that I'm only bitching because I keep dying, and I honestly do realize that titans are meant
to be fought by parties. At the moment I can't play MP, so I guess the only thing I can do when I
see the Titan is to run away if I can.

There is one good thing that came out of this particular incident: I did get some valuable experience
in handling the Titan for if I meet him with better equipment, or some how run into him out in MP.

lulz, I know how you feel Birk. I encountered a grand total of three behemoths back in the day.

The first one - I was inside a building on a noob account. I was slain.

The second one - I was on another noob account near the outpost. I gave it a fight, but I was slain.

The third one - Finally, I was on a high level! But I was critical and broken, on my way back from a serious grinding session... I took a few whacks at it, but then started to worry about the shitload of experience I was risking, so I ran away. Made it back to the outpost at least.

As for 3D, I haven't even seen anything besides a regular zombie. I rarely leave the first screen.

X.x I crunched some numbers, turns out I could have probably beaten that last Titan if
I had the right equipment on me. I only had my Ruger Mini and like, 200-ish rounds on
me at the time, but had I taken my XM8, and the 1200 rounds I had in storage, I could
have taken the thing out. DX

meh, titans might look big and scary but they really arent.

trick is, be fast and just outpace them. run as soon as it starts its attack anim and just scoot out the way. with melee weapons, aim to hit it just as it gets in your face, run away as it swings, repeat. just try not to fall asleep.

i would highly recomend a rifle or pistol for an anti titan weapon as its just so much quicker at putting them down. if you get an AB/VSS, you will be tearing them a new asshole in no time. even with an M1 Garand you can drop them in about 200 shots, they are just easy XP in my opinion.

Fighting Titans is like everything else in life:

Staying far enough away so the motherfucker can't punch ya.

I managed to get him to sprinting before I died. I think I had a cold anaconda at the time.
