| Is this game worth the money, in your opinions? I played it on a friend's laptop and it just didn't seem entirely interesting. :/
Thoughts? | |

| Hell, I'd say it's worth it. It has 200+ multiplayer, offline singleplayer, timeless graphics, and a rather humongous list of things you can create. It has a bit of a learning curve, but near limitless potential for the creative and savvy. It's also being updated often.
A drawback lies in the fact that Minecraft is pretty much THE loneliest game in the world if you aren't on multiplayer. It has no story (so far) and no real direction except to survive, collect resources, and use those resources to create structures, items, machines, and all manner of things to ensure your survival.
At the same time, it can be rather hard finding a good, consistent group of people to play with, and someone to host the server. Half of the public servers you encounter are a clusterfuck of people building dicks, griefing, and killing you for no reason. You'll definitely want to stick to a small private server comprised of friends who will actually play. But with the right group, the experience is absolutely magical.
Minecraft is definitely worth it if you have friends who play (I'd be willing to play with you, and I'm sure there are others on here) but if you don't, it can still be fun, especially after you've gotten the basics down and know what you're doing. It can be frustrating until then, but the wiki helps a lot. If you ever liked legos, I'd give this a serious go. For seriously serious seriousness.
Oh, and I especially like the fact you can edit your character to look however you want, down to every last pixel, as you can see by my avatar. :p

| I've put several hundred hours into Minecraft and I'm still not bored of it. It's easily worth your money. |

| Alright, now, I've played both Fortress Craft on the Xbox 360 (Essentially a rip off of this with shittier multiplayer) and Roblox in my day. Can you compare the overall feel of play of either of those to this game?
All I did on my friends PC with the time I had was chop some logs and laboriously make a friggin table. I probably didn't have enough time to really feel out this game though.
And TRIGGER, Capslock Crusader, if I ever get Minecraft I'll take you up on that offer.

| I don't have a 360, so no, I can't compare from experience, but I would imagine Fortress Craft to be just a gimmicky take on Minecraft. |
