The Song of Steel

Ethan had tried desperately to maneuver the ship out of the way of the nose, but to no avail, he then tried to get it off the nose, but they were hooked.

"There's nothing I can do Captain, we are held fast"

The man nodded.

"Battle stations, every one with combat training get to the observation deck 3, they will not have this ship."

Ethan then walked up to Ryan.

"I could use your help watching my back, you up for this."

"Yep, I've seen better days." Khoma decided as he narrowly avoided being incinerated by a blast from a laser shotgun. "Isn't there anyone left?!" He shouted desperately as he stabbed a man in the throat with one sword as he deflected another plasma shot with the other. All around him he saw friendly units... But they were all dead.

Nodding, Ryan rose from his seat, Drawing his magnum, Ryan motioned toward the Navy Personell, then started down the hallway, toward the observation deck. Turning a corner, Ryan saw Kohma stabbing a soldier, shouting, "Isn't there anyone left?!"

Ryan responded to this by fireing his weapon, taking out one of the enemy soldiers, about to bring a knife down onto Kohma's back. Grinning, Ryan said, "Your welcome!", and leaped into the fray.

"Good show, mate!" Khoma shouted, his confidence bolstered.

"Suck it down!" He wailed as he decapitated a soldier, using his sabres as one would a giant pair of scissors.

kadin ran down the steps after loading all his clips for his crossbow to join the battle.

kadin fired one bolt and it landed cleanly in an enemy's neck puncturing his jugular. kadin fire another piercing an enemy's foot that was dragging another soldier back to cover and stuck him in his place. kadin continued firing until he had 5 bolts left

"you shant have this ship you bastards!!" said kadin jumping over a railing and plunging his kurki deep into a enemy's shoulder.

Ethan ran forward, giving some cover fire to Kohma and Ryan.

"We need to find a place with some cover, or we will get slaughtered."

As he went forward a man jumped him, Ethan gun from his hand. The man looked down at Ethan wast.

"Draw your pig sticker" the man said with a grunt

Ethan nodded, reaching for his wast, then bringing his hands up empty in an uppercut motion and the man was sent flying towards the ceiling were his neck snapped against it.

"Serves you right"

Ethan felt a slight drain at the use of the cortical stimulator, but he shook it off. He than ran forward and picked up his rifle and joined the fight.

After another five rounds from his magum, Ryan holstered it, drawing his boarding axe instead. Howling, Ryan ran up to a soldier preoccupied with wiping the blood off of his facemask, then beheaded him with his axe. Grabbing the body, Ryan hoisted it up, then threw it at another man. Running back to cover, Ryan panted, saying, "Damn... I'm way to old for this kinda shit..."

"Holy fuckballs, we're winning!" Khoma declared when he realized that only three foes remained where once there had been two dozen. If the men were afraid, they didn't show it.

Then, suddenly, the air grew very still... Then a hissing noise filled the room as the appendage's doors opened again. For a moment Khoma though another swath of reinforcements had arrived, but it was only one man that stepped out... One very big man.

The remaining soldiers snapped into salute as the man fully exited the doorway, which took some effort due to his size. Khoma was horrified by what he saw when he got a glimpse of his face... Burns covered the entire right side of his skull, leaving his mouth an exposed ruin, and reducing a quarter of his skull to barren, pink skin. Where there were no burns, shaggy brown hair flowed freely.

"Lower your weapons." He said in a dee, baritone voice that one would expect of bears, if they could speak. He raised his hand towards them in a gesture of peace, causing his black and crimson cloak to billow over his side, exposing a shirtless upper body, the right half of which was just as badly burned as his face... And several little black holes dotted him as well.

"Who are you?!" Khoma demanded, eager to kill more foemen.

The man was silent for several moments before he responded, "My name is Samalamax. I am called The Strongburn."

At that moment, all hope of victory fled from Khoma's heart. "No way we can beat a Director." He thought with despair.

Isaiah was just about to beam down to the planet's surface when he was interrupted by an officer shouting.

"The Urthans are attempting to escape! We have commandeered the escape vessel, but some of its crew are giving us a hard time!"

Isaiah sighed. He knew his directives, but having some Urthans escape would be troublesome for the Abh Empire. They would tell the galaxy of The Abh's presence in the battle, and that would be cause for yet another unnecessary conflict.

He was in a position to make the choice, and he'd been getting rather bored lately.

He Adjusted the Teleporter's coordinates, and beamed aboard the Strongburn, the Leviathan that was attempting to board the Urthan ship.

With a nod to the boarding general, Isaiah Thundrice rushed along the makeshift bridge into the fight, where he saw a Strongburn soldier's head fly very close to him.

Isaiah immediately ascertained the direction in which the flying head came from, and saw a man with two sabres. Isaiah drew both his own swords, and made a swift dash towards the man with his laser sword in front ready to make the attack, and his plasma sword ready to defend... Then he noticed the general. deeming it no longer necessary to attempt to engage this man, Isaiah looked for other targets.

Ethan raised his weapon towards the directer and backed his way to Ryan and Kohma.

"What do you want to do, remember he his just a man, we can take him"

Ryan glanced at Strongburn from behind cover, reloading his pistol. Taking note of how few rounds he had left, Ryan yelled, "I dont give a fuck what your called, assface! You're about to meet the Devil in hell!"

With that, Ryan exited cover, and fired three rounds at Strongburn.

kadin loaded a clip of titanium bolts into his crossbow mag and joined kohma and the others

"he is right... only a man" said kadin with a sly smile

"Hmph. I figured you'd at least want to know why your planet is ablaze... You really should be thanking me." Samalamax said, sidestepping the shots.

"So bet it." And with that, he tossed his cloak from his shoulders, flames bursting from the holes along his body.

///BOSS ENGAGEMENT BEGIN///

Laughing, Ryan shot another three shots at Strongburn, two at his legs and one at his torso, then reloaded again. At this rate, he would have to get some more ammunition before this fight was out.

Ethan saw Ryan leap over the cover and shoot at the man so Ethan joined him. He fired a full clip from his rifle before he drew some water from the dead men around him, and some of the live enemy solider instantly killing them and formed it into a blade, he then sent it out in a scything motion.

"So why are you attacking." he shouted

''kadin dove out of the way of the flames and into cover firing one shot at the strongburns torso

"HOLYFUCKINGSHIT!!! i thought you said he was only man!" yelled kadin

Isaiah watched as Samalamax attacked the remnants of the crew, unhappy that he did not get into the action quickly enough.

He would oversee Samalamax's tactics from the other side of the room... Maybe there was something to be learned here. And if the Strongburn were to fail, Isaiah himself would have to remedy the situation.

Samalamax chuckled to himself as he took all of their hits, even the water scythe. "We're not merely 'attacking' your planet." He said, as the water drenching his body turned to steam. "We're trying to prevent the worst case scenario from taking place."

He began building up energy in his body. "You'd do well to lay down your arms now."

Meanwhile Khoma rushed him, sabres bared.

Ryan picked up a large shard of glass, then threw it at Strongburn. "Preventing the worst scenario, eh? You've killed countless citizens, Caused worldwide destruction, and, worst of all, You interupted my god damn drinking time! What the hell is this about!"

kadin saw a man throw a large chunk of glass at the monster but kadin was more interested in what was behind the man. kadin dove from cover to cover till he reached the alarm. kadin broke the glass and pulled the handle. sirens started going off as well did the very large overhead sprinkler system.down came a wonderful mix of chemical retardant and water

"burn that you bitch" yelled kadin as he dove back into cover

"Yeah, this is the worst case scenario"

Ethan then ran up with his sword drawn and water scythe in other hand and swung at Sam.

"Mmm, you'll see." Samalamax said, dodging the attack with ease. "But in the meantime..."

BASS!
Flames erupted from Samalamax's body, burning everyone but Khoma, who only barely managed to avoid it. "Eat this!" He shouted, swinging his blades at his foe.

HAYMAKER!
Samalamax brought his fist around in a flash of light, smashing into Khoma's face with a terrible crunch, sending him eleven feet backwards to topple over and over on the floor in a daze.

"Fools." Samalamax declared, gathering energy along his arm, "You will not win this fight."

Ryan screamed, his left leg burnt. Growling, Ryan ran up to Strongburn, and fired three rounds, point blank, then followed with a horizontal slash of his axe.

kadin splashed some of the chemical on his arm to stop the fire. kadin couldn't see well through the large red flashing light and all the rain. kadin crept along the outside of the room to see if he could get a better shot at the beast but he bumped something as he went along. after a couple tries at feeling it he figured out it was a fire extinguisher. kadin grabbed the extinguisher and kept trying to find a better shot.

he had found a place. "hey... fuckface i got a present" yelled kadin as he threw the extinguisher along the ground. it had landed pretty close to the beast. kadin leaned out and shot a bolt at it hoping it would retard his flames even more

Ethan was slightly burned, but shrugged it off. He then charged forward, using magic his magic to suck out all the air in a small bubble around him and Sam at the same time as he sealed his suit. He then took a swing with his blade and water scythe.
