| Ok all, I need your help. Recently my Windows Media Player has been giving me all kinds of problems when it comes to burning CD's. It'll burn one to two songs to a disc that's brand new, has no scratches and cannot possibly be full. Then it'll abruptly finalize and close the disk before the other songs can be placed on the disk. Then it gives me an error message, saying that the I need to make sure the disk is clean and not damaged, or to try a new brand. Clicking on the further information, I'm given this error code: 8FFD020E.
Now, I've tried three different brands of CD's, that didn't work. I don't know how to do a system restore, or roll back, but I doubt even that would help and Google has don't jack all to help me. My pc's going on six years as of this Christmas. I'm not sure if it's the driver, the software, or the burner itself. Can someone help me out, or give me any additional info? It'll be some time before I can afford a new pc. | |

| An easy solution would be to switch to iTunes (better organized than WMP anyway) However, if you are one of those people who refuse to use apple stuff, I hear Fubar2000 is really good. Google it. Apparently it's customizable as all hell. Anyway. WMP sucks, stop using it right nao. Edit: I re-read your post. And you're having trouble with burning? odd. Try burning it with a different music player and see if that works. Otherwise, it's probably your driver that has problems. | |

| If it's my driver, what are my options? I'm embarrassed to say that, despite my extensive years of experience with a PC, there isn't a whole lot I really know about their components and such. | |

| I would suggest redownload WMP. Other than that, I can't help much. | |

| Ha! I didn't even get through the door. They asked why my daughter was, then got upset when I said I didn't have one. | |
