Survivor Five : Daisy Hazel (Jen)

And so it begins...

Working in a lab on the second floor of the hospital, Daisy was filing papers when her boss came in, smelling of something awful and being all grabby....again.

Daisy pushed him off, he wasn't that big so it was rather easy. Then she noticed it. He was bloodied, and his eyes were...off. She grabbed the metal leg of the table, it was held on with tape....cheap hospital, and struck him in the chest with it. He staggered back, and she ran away.


What will you do...?
- Go back and apologize.
- Call the police.
- Jump out of that window over there. (2nd floor)
- Get to your car.

Jen says she wants to call for Police/help

After running for several seconds, I slipped into an empty office room and grabbed the phone on the wall. Dialing 911, I was careful to lock the door in case he had followed me.

The phone beeped for what seemed forever... But nobody answered. Aggravated, I dialed 911 again, but was met with the same silence.

And that's when somebody started banging on the door. Several people, judging by the sound of it. It startled me so bad that I almost fell over.

I was no longer having a nice day...


What will you do...?

With a sharp turn, I rapidly got my ass into the closet. Therein, I quietly waited for my fate to come. But what eventually came through the door wasn't my crazed, murderous boss, but a couple of armored guys with assault rifles. "Doors shouldn't be that hard to break down." One of of them grumbled. "Quiet," replied the other one. "Anyone in here?!"

Judging by the sound of additional voices, I guessed that there were at least a few more men outside of the room.


What will you do...?
- Show yourself.
- Charge out, killing indiscriminately.
- Run out, and jump out of that window over there. (2nd floor)

Wait...does that mean walk out of the closet, pronounce my name and occupation, or show nudity?

"Me. Im he-" I started to say.

That's when I fuggin' got shot in the gut...

When I finally came to, I discovered that I was lying down in the back of some sort of truck, with camouflage-clad soldiers all around me. A large bandage had been wrapped around my belly, and a kiwi-sized red spot was visible near my belly-button.

"Sorry about that, Miss. I thought you were one of them..." One of the men said, sounding truly apologetic.

"Idiot." An older one retorted, "What zombie's smart enough to hide in a damn closet? Or talk? You just sit there quietly until I figure out what to do with you."

The other soldier had no response for that

"You'll be alright." A third soldier suddenly declared, staring me in the face. "Just don't move too much. By the red cross on his helmet, I judged that he was the medic of the group.

The rest of the soldiers just remained silent as the truck continued to rattle down a particularly bumpy road.

Inform the one who shot you that you were two months pregnant, and he probabily just killed the baby.

That's...harsh. Maybe I'll jsut go with

Sitting up as best as I could, I looked the trigger-happy sot in the face and flatly stated, "You sir, are a soppy cunt."

"Agreed. As soppy as they come." Somebody in the crowd responded.

"Incredibly soppy. And a cunt, to boot." A third voice chimed in.

Then the commander turned to growl at them, and all was silent. That's when I noticed the patch on his arm that said "UBCS."

I wasn't particularly military-savvy, but I was moderately certain these guys had nothing to do with the US army.


What will you do...?
- Ask what's going on.
- Go for one of their guns.
- Stumble to your feet and jump out of the vehicle.
- Kill indiscriminately.
- Go back to sleep.

Sighing, I laid my head back down and closed my eyes.

"No. Don't go to sleep." The commander-guy growled, nudging my wound with his boot. It hurt.

"May I please just go?" I asked, trying to sound as sweet as I could. "Nay." was his response.

Just sit there.

Can I examine my wound? I want to jump out of the vehicle, but I want to make sure that I won't tear open my wound and bleed to death.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a shout went up. I'm not sure what was said, but it was immediately followed by an explosion of lead from the .50 caliber turret. All around me, the soldiers pointed in the direction of the gunner, began shouting, and then added their own gunfire into the mix.

Before I could even discern what we were attacking, something smashed into the truck, sending it into a violent roll. Once again, I was out.

...

I woke up in darkness. Judging by the shouts and the shooting, I judged that I hadn't been out for long. I feared for the worst, but soon discovered that I had miraculously escaped further injury.

After a moment, I found a patch of light, and crawled toward it. The going was difficult, as I was frequently impeded by a number of obstacles that had been rendered invisible by the darkness.

I couldn't be sure, but I'm fairly certain I crawled over more than one corpse.

Finally managing to crawl into the light, I was met with fresh air. Looking behind me, I found the truck to be flipped over.

"The head! Aim for the head!" I heard someone shout. "It's no good! Our shots can't get through!" Someone answered back. Struggling to my feet, I snuck toward the edge of the truck, and peered around.

I saw a handful of soldiers that had survived the crash and the battle thus far. The commander-guy was not among them. They were fighting a large hooded creature, wielding a huge sword-like weapon. I'd never seen anything like it.

The soldiers seemed to be aiming for the head-region, but the beast wore a large ovular helmet, with an eye-slit in it. Whatever it was made of, the bullets weren't going to be getting through.

I watched in horror as it sliced a man in half at the middle. It was then that I noticed the eery, screeching noise... Sort of like a chalkboard being scratched, or a bat screaming.

It was the beast. It was laughing.


What will you do...?
- Stay there and wait for it all to blow over.
- Run away!
- Find a manhole and escape into the sewers!
- Attack!
- Crawl back under the truck and grab a soldier's machine-gun.
- find a car or something!
- Search for a tier 1 weapon.
