Sword of Sacrifice

Dathdr wakes up from his haze, from a tall blurry red monkey asking him what was going on. "Watch goin on!" Dathdr exclaims, rising to his feet as steady as he could. "Wah goin on, ish the poeplesh are dyin! I cant do anythin to stop it! I'm helplesh!"

With that, Dathdr collapses on the ground, sobbing.

Bahntalos hadn't expected such behavior from an elf. Normally they were a rather reserved race.

Then again, he'd never seen a drunk elf either.

"Helpless you say?" Bahntalos said, scooping up the elf and gently depositing him on top of the bed. "Why, we're all helpless. We're born, we live awhile, and then we die. Tis nothing to get so upset about."

He smiled amicably.

"Go fetch a bucket please!" Bahntalos called out, hoping an attendant would hear. He had a feeling the elf would be needing it.

"No!" Dathdr said, fire in his eyes. "We are not helplesh. We are evil. I am evil! I do not deserve such kindnesh." And with that, he passes out, for elves do not have a strong alcohol tolerance.

zak after hearing a ruckus from down the hall when he decedid he had rested enouth. he got up and put on the top part of his robe, opened the door and made his way down the hall to were he saw Bahntalos inside a room with his elf friend he called out.

"hey Braavos whats going on with Dathdr." when Bahntalos turned around to see who was talking zak noticed that it was not Braavos

"wait who are you, you got the same red hair, would you happen to be his brother"

"He'll understand some day." Bahntalos said to himself with a slight grin (It wasn't until later he realized that the elf was probably older than him)

"Guess that bucket isn't coming." he said with a sigh. He promptly stood up and exited the room, shutting the door gently so as not to wake the elf.

As Bahntalos began the trek back to his brother's quarters, he was addressed by one of the people he had rescued at Jerdy.

"wait who are you?" The old man asked

He smiled and responded, "My name is Bahntalos Jeffrey Golvaga. I believe you know my little brother, Braavos."

"And shouldn't you still be resting? You don't look at all well."

Ryan woke up to blinding white pain and flinched biting back a scream. He forced himself to seperate the pain from his consciousness, forced himself to sit up and stand up wobbily. Glancing around without seeing his weapon, shield, or armor he mutters to himself, "Damn it..." then says louder, "Anybody around?" hearing some muted voices from the are around him.

Just realized that he wasn't alone. "My apologies... It's hard to see for some reason... Who might you be?" Ryan said apologetically.

"Ah..." Ryan says. "Thank you.. are you allowed to tell me what happened to my weapons and armor Melisandre?" he asks with a small smile.

"i don't fell well ether, but i heard a noise from over here and i thought i could use a stretch. the nurse says I have been out for about 5 days."

Zak then looked around and spotted a window and decided to look out side. what he saw amazed him. they were in a stone fortress. there were some men drilling in the courtyard and what looked like a makeshift forge, with racks of weapons stored for latter use. then beyond the walls were a town.

"where are we, what is this place and what are you doing here, and what are the munitions for it looks like your preparing for war"

Zak surveyed the view once of again waiting for an answer.

"speaking of weapons, where are my things, and more importantly where are the others"

Zak stood facing Bahntalos waiting for a response

Zay listened to the older red head. When he turned to leave, Zay quickly jumped back into her room. She grimaced at the pain it brought her, but she didn't exactly feel like being seen in the nude.

She found her clothes in the corner of the room, so she slipped them on, grimacing whenever she had to stretch or bend. After a while, she got used to the pain, and could move easier.

She found her pack, untouched, and slung it over her shoulder. Walking out again, she walked into the younger red haired man's room, and was surprised to see the small girl back in the room. She didn't seem to notice, so Zay just stood there, watching both the small girl and the red head, before deciding to speak up.

"I believe I still don't know your name, red head." Zay said with a smirk.

"My my, you don't beat around the bush much, do you?" Bahntalos asked, scratching his chin. "Well firstly, you're in Fort Valian which is located in the middle of Bantelford." "Secondly, we're not preparing for war; we're already in one. We're the Red Patriots of which I am second in command." Bahntalos smiled before continuing, "And your things are in the smithery being cleaned and repaired as we speak."

"Hmm... Well, can you tell me the fates of the others.. there was a pair of men, an elf... and a female.. if I remember right at least. Did they all fare as well as I did?" Ryan asks, waving a hand at his body indicating the fact that he was still alive.

- -Melisandre- -

Melisandre blinked a couple of times, "You were hurt the worst by far, in fact you almost lost your arm." she said, gesturing towards his heavily bandaged upper body, "but yes the others are alright, albeit bed-ridden."

Ryan nods and says, "Thank you... would you mind leaving as I would like to get dressed... and it isn't proper of a gentleman to dress in the presence of a lady"

"Red Patriots, huh, i have heard of you before but not much."

Zak contuses to look out side

"well the name is Zacharias of the Maians, Zak for short and i have something to tell you in thanks for the help."

"we were at a town recently that was attacked, after the battle the town was utterly destroyed. the few survivors that there were claimed it happened because they aided you with supplies and weapons, does that help you in any way."

- -Melisandre- -

Melisandre smiled again, turned red a little in the cheeks, and said, "Alright, but I'll be right outside if you need me."

She then quickly got up and went out of the room, giggling a little.

- -Bahntalos- -

"Ah, you must be talking about Wessenridge." he replied, with a tinge of sadness. "Yes they aided us. We didn't expect that the king's men would be able to punch far enough through our lines to pose a threat there."

"I do truly regret that we were unable to help them."

"well it wasn't helpful, but i can tell you this, them men who did it are dead, and there leader one Sergeant Wilhelm died painfully. he took hits from all of us, but you have our elf friend to thank for the killing blow, an arrow throe the neck."

Ryan smiles softly to himself, then remembers that he was supposed to be getting dressed and spies a pile of nealty folded clothes and dons them, struggling with the shirt as his arm was still quite weak and lacing on his boots, glad to have those still and saying, "Am I allowed to walk about Madam?" he asks loud enough for her to here as he slowly massages his stiff legs.

"So what's your name?" Braavos asked the one called Sally, blatantly forgetting the fact that she had already been introduced. He smiled and tried his best to sit up straight.

She remained silent for a second, twiddling with here hair, (which went down to her lower back) before replying with a small smile, “Salariel, but they call me Sally.”

“Do you have a last name?” Braavos asked, glad that he was able to get something out of her.

She chewed on her bottom lip for a second and then replied, “I don’t know.” This befuddled Braavos, who asked, “You don’t know? How can that be?”

Sally looked into his eyes, and then away towards the corner of the room, her cheeks growing pink, “He found me… Your brother I mean… He found me unconscious a little north of here a couple of weeks ago.”

“Amnesia.” Braavos realized. “And the only thing you remember is your first name?”

Sally nodded, “And that I have an older sister named Karithiel.”

Braavos was about to try and say something comforting, but he was interrupted when the woman named Zay strode in, looking amused.

"I believe I still don't know your name, red head." Zay said with a smirk.

Sally squeaked and hopped a couple of inches in the air, then immediately scooted away from the owner of the scary voice coming from behind her. She stood next to Braavos, looking nervously at the strange woman while chewing her bottom lip again.

“Braavos Jonathan Golvaga.” Braavos said in answer to the woman. “Glad to see you didn’t get killed out there, either.”

From outside the door, Melisandre answered, "You're free to go whenever you wish, but I wouldn't advise it until you're all healed up."

"I'd heard that Wilhelm was slain by a group of civilians." he responded, still smiling. "Well I'd like to thank you for it; he certainly wasn't doing us any favors alive."
