Anyways, I guess you're right, though I still don't see it as selling out, Pengy.

Peng, defending what they own is not selling out, they had every right to go after Napster. My dad works in the music business, every time people decide to be cheap and steal the music, they are just hurting them self.

My dad has been looking for another job for about two years because everyone knows the music business is dying a very fast and very painful death, they need to charge more per CD now to make a profit, and sooner or latter people will just give up because there is no money in it.

Its not a victimless crime, their a millions of people in the US alone who will loose their jobs to this. Sounds corny, but you wouldn't steal a car, or beat up an old lady for a twenty, don't steal something that belongs to someone else.

Our country does nothing else besides make entertainment products, we make crappy cars with low gas mileage, we outsource all our work to other country's 20 cents for every dollar that we would pay American.

All we are good at is making movies, music and video games. That's all we have and the people in the country need to grow up or there will be nothing.

I mean, we are not even the top weapons makers any more, our colts were bought out by glock and and HK.

I'm sure you realize that bands get less than 3% of their record sales. Almost all the money goes to the record company. The only way a band really makes money is by selling merch and at live shows. With that in mind, I don't feel very bad when I download an album. If I really like an artist, I'll buy a shirt from them as my way of supporting them.
Also, Metallica was already filthy rich when they went after Napster.
