Army Men: Sign In

Koa shifted his backpack nervously. He was a private, and this was his first jump. The ground looked so far down. He threw up once more.

Seventy stories below him, with a steep wall down all the way. The wall was unusually smooth, unlike the rest of the valley. Gunfire could be heard below, along with echoed shouts and screams.

He wiped the plastic from his mouth, and glanced around one more time. The back door, the gateway into the outer world, to freedom….but it was locked. Men were setting up mortars a stack of explosive ammo was just waiting to be used. A voice broke into his thoughts.

“This is what you are! This is what you were made for! LEAVE NONE ALIVE!”, the general shouted, waving his flamethrower in the air before jumping off the cliff.

No longer thinking, Koa jumped off the wooden bar and into the air. He extended his hands and arms to steady himself before letting loose his parachute. The entire battle could be seen as he gently swung himself around. He fell slowly, taking in everything. The general had already landed, and could be seen setting an overturned Lego car on fire. Lego men and women with tanks and other machines, pushing forward. He cut his chute a few feet from the ground and fell softly on the wooden floor.

“The MAF! Take cover under the MAF!”, a soldier shouted, moments before being blown in half by a rocket. Koa ran towards the general, assisting in holding the position until the mobile armored Frisbee arrived. It was a normal Frisbee, but codenamed as a Military Armored Frisbee for military purposes. Koa and the general held off for several minutes before the position was reinforced.

“Good work private.”, the general said, patting Koa on the back. The general raised his gun to start the charge, but was taken down by an enemy sniper.

Koa led the renewed charge against the Lego’s. The first Lego was decapitated with Koa’s knife; the next was blown in half by someone behind him. The Lego people didn’t stand a chance, but they had a trick up their sleeves.

A tank regiment appeared and returned fire near the bathroom. But the Army also had a trick.

“Fire the mortars!”, Koa shouted, taking cover behind the cat food bowl.

- Unwrapped in Minnesota in 1988.
- Sold to some kid on the playground for a blue marble in 1989.
- Dropped down a sewage drain, and taken into the Atlantic ocean in 1990.
- Picked out of the ocean and swallowed by a seagull in 1991.
- Seagull was eaten by an eagle in 1992.
- Eagle was eaten by a shark in December 1993.
- Shat out by the shark in 1994.
- Floats into the Bering Strait in 1995.
- Caught in a crab-fisherman's net in 1996.
- Given to the fisherman's son when he finally got home in 1997.
- Sold to some kid on the playground for a Pokemon card in 1998.
- Tied to a fire-cracker, and launched into the neighbor's yard in 1999.
- Found by the neighbors, and eventually sold in a yard sale in 2000.
- Banished to the attic for months, then mailed to Arkansas as a Christmas present in 2001.
- Flushed down the toilet for being a shitty Christmas present in January 2002.
- Picked out of the sewers by a hobo in 2003.
- Used to stab out another hobo's eye, and is left at the scene of the crime in 2004.
- Sits in an evidence locker all throughout 2005.
- Is eventually discarded after the case is dropped in 2006.
- Is found in a local dump by a scientist who came there to conduct a poll in 2007.
- Is carried back to the Scientist's home and given to his son in 2008.
- Kicked some ass in 2009.

The weapons are general, so yes, you can have specific weapons.


Unknown to the Army Men, the Lego people actually broke into several distinct factions:

The Bionicle, unlike any other Lego out there, started killing anything that came near them. They mutilated the corpses and ate them, leaving nothing to be found.

Storm troopers led by the Sith started enslaving other Lego’s to add to his own army. Using the force, or a form of mind control machine, the Sith made innocent Lego people do his dirty work. With these spies, he attacked the Army men and ignited a the war that rages on today.

Normal Lego people are led by Bob. Bob the Lego is the most widely known Lego, and among the oldest in the house. He tries to remain neutral, but his people are being kidnapped by an evil force. He allows the Army to train his people for war, but dislikes doing so.

Name: Doltan Finch

Bio: He is a custom made army figure, born from the hand of God himself, whoever the owner of the house is. The owner makes figurines, and Doltan was the armoury guard of the base in the scaled city called Tiny Town. He was made with a wife and a home, but both were lost in a small scale electric fire. He blames the Lego people, for their structures used batteries instead of a line plugged into a light socket.

Bio:Made by an ex-marine sniper while he awaited the fire-line for allegedly killing five people with one round. Given to his son on death, who then gave it to his kid.

Army Name: Doc

Bio: Doc was manufactured in China as a medic in 1999. He was shipped to the United States to a town in Texas where he was bought along with dozens of other tan soldiers like himself. The platoon was taken to a large house owned by a wealthy family. The family had 5 sons who had a passion for toy warfare.
The plastic soldiers had no idea what they were in for.

10 years. 10 long years of hell.

Doc saw horrible things in that war. Soldiers, melted alive with lighters in the jungles of the backyard. Soldiers, broken limb from limb by large indoor felines. Soldiers, drowning in the murky abbess of the toilets. Doc treated them all the best he could. He never forgot the number of men he lost... no matter how high it was.

Finally, in the winter of 2009, the fighting ceased. The boys had grown up. The surviving army men declared victory and were evacuated to the safety of a garage sale where they were bought by another family.

These kinds of things harden a plastic man. Harden them more than any synthetic polymer on the market. Doc changed... the war changed him.

He arrived in a strange new environment, with the remaining scraps of his tan platoon. The smell of polyethylene and death filled the air. Doc was ready for his second tour of duty.

Army Name: Joyful Jim

Bio: Brought into existence with his name being just plain ol' Jim. He helped his fellow Lego men build up their simple Lego town into a sprawling metropolis. Life was good.

But than he was burned.

Jim was just minding his business one day when he was picked up--kidnapped in fact--right in the middle of Lego city. He squirmed but could not even identify the hostile source, he only knew the giant thumb and pointer finger which grasped his head so powerfully.

"Hey Billy, check this out." said a booming voice. Jim winced at how loud the voice was.

He heard a loud click coming from below his dangling feet. He looked down and to his horror saw that the stove burner had been turned on.

Jim screamed and screamed, but Lego god did not hear him. Nor did he save him from being pressed against the burner.

Jim did not die there that day though. For a powerful female voice entered the room and started yelling. Jim was tossed a great distance where he landed on a hard floor, he than managed to struggle back to Lego City.

Jim was never the same after that though. He became downright crazy, crazy and violent. Half his usual grin had been burned off, but he still had the bright and happy look in his eyes.
Nowadays burning other things was the only thing that kept that half a grin on old Joyful Jim's face.

Name: "Rookie" Tom

Bio: Tom was a new arrival in the household, and immediatly drafted into the green army. During basic, he was shown to have a surprising aptitude with vehicles, repairing a broken down humvee with nothing but scotch tape and a allen wrench. Tom was assigned to the aerial cavalry, building himself a versitile attack/transport helicopter, out of mostly green legos, with one or two yellow ones.

Bio: She was part of a biker gang lego set, but was accidently dropped outside someone's home. The mother, in an effort to keep the yard clean, tossed Jennifer in the Lego pile.
