I was laying on something soft and warm. I wasn't sure what it was, but the area around me was rapidly cooling. It was becoming cold around me, and I refused to be taken like this. I knew this feeling. It was blood, the blood of more than one person pooling.

Sitting up I felt fresh blood run down my face, and guessed that I had broken my nose. Moving, I could only assume that those shark pains in my chest were broken ribs. The arm that grabbed the stone was broken. Of the eight that went in, half came out alive. Some of the Legion that had died lay around us. Jirad was not one of them.

Several weeks later, after the cast on my arm healed, and I felt that I was fit to fight again, was I asked to join the fight for Bruma. Councilman Ocato asked me personally to lead a few men to assist the 'Divine Crusader'. I kept a straight face, and asked how many other cities would be sending aid. He replied that the 'Divine Crusader' would take care of that. I accepted Ocato's mission, and left with Pargow and Liche.

Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Diary of Oblivion   Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 EmptyFri May 13, 2011 11:21 am

We arrived in Bruma just in time. Apparently an Emperor had been found while I was recovering, a Martin Septim. He was giving a speech to the Bruma Milita, while I looked for allies from other towns. I saw none. I immediately thought of the reports from Kvatch, how their militia had done little to save their town.

Actually, I did see something. A horse. Sheogorath brought his horse to the Battle for Bruma. I knew then that my fate rested in the combat ability....of a horse.

Daedra began appearing before Martin finished his speech, but none of the milita moved until the Emperor said so. Sheogorath, however, had slain half the attacking force before anyone could get near him. The Crusader Relics were truly a sight to behold in battle. The sword sang as it rended flesh from bone, the shield screamed when it was used to behead something.

The horse, despite my initial doubts, killed several Dremora by trampling them to death. I don't know what kind of demon horse this is, but he fought better than the Bruma Milita. I also could have sworn it was beaten to death by a Storm Atronach, it got right back up and stomped that Atronach into a fine, powdery dust.

Bauros and Jauffre, two blades, fought well enough. I shot arrow after arrow, until I had run out. I wasn't confident in my sword skills, but they would have to do. Drawing my sword, I saw a Daedroth rip the upper half of Bauros from his legs. Bauros never made a sound, just tried to swing his sword one more time. It didn't help.

Jauffre and I were the only ones to see this, and we struck simultaneously. I watched what he did, and tried my best to mimic it. The Daedroth fell to us, Jauffre thrusting his sword into the monster's heart. The Daedroth fell backward, tossing the upper half of Bauros' corpse several feet away.

Jauffre climbed the dead beast to retrieve his sword, but was thrown into an outcrop of rocks by a lightning blast. He blinked, shifted his weight, and then moved no more. The second gate opened up as Jauffre breathed his last.

I turned to see what hit him, only barely dodging a second blast. The corpse of the Daedroth made a good shield as I formed a plan. Jump Daedroth, dodge lightning, kill mages.

With the plan set, I charged out of my improvised cover....to see the horse stomping the Dremora mages to death. A staff rolled along the ground, and came to rest at my feet. The owner was dead, and I was a much better aim than I was a swordsman, so I took it.

The staff crackled at my touch, untold magic potential finding its release. The weapon begged to be used, and I obliged. The horse was knocked down, and I told myself then that I would not let a horse beat me in the game of killing. Scamps were crawling over it, and a well aimed blast hit one before jumping and killing all the others.

I blasted my way towards the dead mages. I heard that these staves used 'soulgems' as power, and I did not want to be stuck waving a dead stick around while my enemies gathered around me. The third gate opened up as I searched the Dremora mages, finding several empty and full soulgems.
I was no mage, but I assumed the heavier ones had souls in them. It made sense at the time.

With the staff in hand, I shot left and right into the Daedra. Soon the numbers thinned, eventually stopping completely. Only a handful of us remained alive, and Sheogorath was nowhere to be seen.

Liche approached the Great Oblivion Gate, hoping to look inside and see how close the seige engine was to going through the gate. His actions told us, as a large spike impaled him, and the seige engine coming to a stop outside the Great Gate. Sheogorath clutched a large, round stone in his hand.
It looked like a sigil stone, only larger.

I dismissed the actions of Sheogorath, and looked around the battlefied. I found the upper half of Bauros, but not his legs. Jauffre had broken his
spine when he was thrown, and lay dead. Liche had been impaled from the crawler, and Pargow could not be found. Asking around, he had followed Sheogorath inside the Great Gate. Much of the Bruma Milita was alive.

The horse, however, was gone. No one had seen it, but further searching found a pair of bloody horseshoes near where the second gate opened up. It was assumed that the horse went inside the second gate searching for more mages after saving me, but was trapped when Sheogorath closed the Great Gate.

I felt hurt, not from pain but at the loss of the horse. It fought better than Imperials and Nords, and as quickly as it came it was gone. I took one of the horseshoes it left behind. It will always be a reminder of the Battle for Bruma.

PostSubject: Re: Diary of Oblivion   Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 EmptyFri May 13, 2011 11:23 am

I do not know why, but I felt the sudden urge to visit the Shivering Isles again. Some of the merchants in the Market District began selling 'Shivering Gear’ and it was quite good. There might be a ring or a necklace that could help me in my work. If not, I could find a way to recharge my staff cheaply. The Mages Guild charges a rather large fee, one that I cannot afford on a Legion paycheck. Let it be known that I have made six times the money that I used to bribe Audens, but I still cannot afford constant recharging.

It's been a year since I visited the Isles, and the body has not moved. The crazy rambling cat lady is still crazy, rambling, and a lady cat. The useless guard is still useless, and refuses to talk to me.

I arrive in the Fringe, and it looks much better than when I last visited. The area is colorful, practically exploding with life. I only found two things that wanted to kill me, but I killed them first. There are these HUGE lizard things, like Grummites only a lot larger. I didn't ask much about them, I just kept walking towards the two Gates of Madness.

It was, at this point, that I realized that I had forgotten about the Gatekeeper. Turning around, I saw almost immediately that he had not forgotten about me. I had tried to sneak by him once or twice, or seventeen times, the last time I was here. We stared at each other for a time, me waiting to be crushed into a fine goo while he breathed terror and exhaled fear. Nothing happened.

At least, nothing happened to me. A fool bandit, thinking him good with a bow, fired a few arrows into the Gatekeeper. With a shake of his hand, the bandit went limp, and off a nearby cliff. I used this time to escape towards the gate on the right, which was Dementia. I had read that it was dark, and I assumed that I could sneak my way past any monsters and get to the capital easily. I never noticed at the time, but the gatekeeper didn’t chased me.

Luckily, I found a Dark Seducer patrol, and followed them to New Sheoth. I was excited, I hadn't gotten this far before. I only had what books I could read in the Fringe, and what I could learn from the weird guy obsessed with bones. He could come and go as he wanted, but what about me? I wasn't insane; at least, I didn't think I was insane.

My initial thoughts of The Crucible were a dank, dirty, slimy, corpse ridden nightmare. At least the guards were nice, and told me everything I needed to know. No one was selling anything particularly special. Bliss took a little bit longer to find everything; Golden Saints do not seem to like newcomers. Nothing really stood out on the Dementia side of the island, so I began searching the Mania side. Of course, I had a Dark Seducer escort on Dementia, but I figured I would be alright.

We began talking about how much we dislike Sheogorath, and after telling them how I've been chasing him for over a year and everything else, they made me their leader. I got these fancy blue robes, and they taught me how to summon hungers. They also taught me how to soul trap creatures, and I can soul trap a hunger I summon. This solves my recharging problem.

Actually, it might solve all my problems. I've heard of a man, is he a man?, named Haskill. He is the butler to Sheogorath, and if something bad happens in the realm, he'll contact Sheogorath. That's the plan, raid New Sheoth and get Sheogorath here, then capture him. That murdering criminal will finally get what he deserves.

I've implemented drastic changes to the structure of the Heretics. These blue robes are fashionable, and very soft, but I've been to Vitharn, and I've seen the Madness armor that the Old Fanatics wore. There's a smith in the Crucible that can make that armor, I just need the materials. There are plenty of caves and old buildings to search, I'm pretty sure that we can scavenge enough to get a decent amount of armor made.

More and more Heretics are flocking to my banner. So much, that I've attracted attention from the Zealots. They attacked in the night, but we were ready. I had three full sets of armor made, and my three knights slew the oncoming dozen. I managed to talk two of the wounded into becoming Heretics, saying something like 'If Sheogorath was a god, he would have saved you'. This is easier than I thought.

I'm not betraying the Legion, I am stopping a terrorist from achieving his goal of becoming the Emperor's battlemage. Martin Septim adores Sheogorath, or so I've heard. When Martin is crowned Emperor, what is to stop Sheogorath from tossing Martin to Oblivion, and taking his place like Jager Tharn did? It's possible, Sheogorath is powerful enough.

Barenziah isn't here to help save the Empire like she did then. Actually, no one is close to Sheogorath. Everyone seems to love him, but he has no friends, no allies, no family as far as I could find. His motives are unclear, his alignment blurry, his morals hazy, and his claim to godhood is undisputed.

I have to strike him down. He is growing too powerful. Soon nothing will be able to stop him.

I am almost drowning in trinkets and jewelry. My Heretics lavish me with gifts and ore enough to raise an army. The only thing is that none of our merchants are allowed in New Sheoth anymore. I haven't been since I left it, but I am sure word has spread of me.

Well, I've always worn a hood, and the rumors are that I am a man. Maybe I could do it? Surely noone would suspect me.

I made it to New Sheoth, into the Crucible, got the armor, and got stopped by a Golden Saint as I left. Apparently they've been watching the flow of
Madness Ore in and out of the city, and all the enchanted Madness Armor I just had made tipped them off that I was a Heretic. I was to be killed on sight, or I would if they caught me. I can run rather fast, due to a ring of agility. I am able to carry ten sets of enchanted armor, due to a talisman of feather. The other ring I wear was a mercantile ring, which got the armor at a discount.

I arm my men and women with the Madness Armor, some enchanted, some not. They cry out for battle, and I tell them that we will be victorious against the Seducers and Saints, and that Sheogorath will fall.

They ask when they will march for New Sheoth, and I tell them that the city is not our destination. They look at me in fear, anger, and with traitorous eyes. They begin to mutter amongst themselves, traitorous thoughts.

I silence them, they quiet down, but the muttering persists. I proclaim that Cylarne will be our first target. It is a holy site, and that I will be able to get a key for them. I tell them that it will only take a day, two at most.

PostSubject: Re: Diary of Oblivion   Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 EmptyFri May 13, 2011 11:51 am

It took only a day. I do not remember much of how I got to Skingrad, but I know I killed the guard that was stationed outside the fringe. His maid did not question me as I walked upstairs. I showed up in my Imperial Armor, but it was worn and dirty. She looked at me odd, and I knew that I must look a mess. I haven't brushed my hair out in weeks, was it weeks? Time in the Shivering Isles didn't seem to connect with time in Tamriel. I left right after the Battle for Bruma, but Sheogorath was in Paradise when I got back. It only seemed a matter of hours since I left, but weeks in the Isles.

The maid stayed downstairs in her basement, sucking the remains of a skooma bottle dry. I would have pitied her, but I was busy. I knew I had seen a 'Cylarne' tag on one of his keys before. A little white tag, with the word 'Cylarne'.

I found the key easily, it was set aside in a pile exclusively made of keys from the Shivering Isles. I took all of them. They would all be useful in my plan. I saw a staff with Daedric writing on it, something called the 'Staff of Sheogorath'. Everytime I tried picking it up, my hand would slip and I would get a splinter. The wood of the staff was unblemhished, so it made me wonder where the splinters were coming from.

I also found something I did not expect, but had only guessed about.

The Grey Fox mask. I now knew that Sheogorath was also the Grey Fox. I also found some notes, saying something about the Lucky Lady statue. It seemed that Sheogorath was also the Listener for the Dark Brotherhood. I gathered all the notes together, anything that even hinted at a crime he committed, and left for the Shivering Isles again.

Before I left, I wrote a note. 'You need a better lock. ~The Grey Fox'. I figured that would piss him off.

My contingent of troops was more motivated than ever. I showed them the notes I found, the thefts that he wrote about, the notes Lucian Lachance wrote him, and even passed off that madman's diary as his, the one that was obsessed with his mother. I even brought 'Mother's Head', a skull I found in his barrel of undead remains. I still wonder why he had a barrel of rotting remains just sitting upstairs in a barrel.

We sat outside Cylarne, waiting for the sun to set. We would take Cylarne by force, put out the 'sacred' fires, and then march on the capital.

PostSubject: Re: Diary of Oblivion   Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 EmptyFri May 13, 2011 11:52 am

The sun set an hour ago, and the men are hesitant to go. They never thought they would see today, so I lead the charge in my Heretic robe. Madness
Armor is heavy, and I cannot wear it. I do not have any armorer contacts in the Isles to fix the armor, and no one in Tamriel knows how it works.

My Staff depletes easily, but I have plenty of soulgems. There are no Dark Seducers guarding anything here, only Golden Saints. I kill three Saints before my men catch up, and they find keys on the bodies of the guards. They flood in the right side, and break the key in the left side gate. Archers wait outside the gate on the left side, ready to shoot any fleeing Saints.

I hesitate for a moment, to look up at the multicolored fire, and suddenly I am no longer leading the charge. My troops flood past me. I attempt to follow suit, but I know that nothing will be left alive for me.

Just as I thought, a few Saints attempt a tactical retreat. We wait, against the wall, for them to get to the gates. They shake the door when they cannot open it, and curse a few times. A few of my soldiers corner them in, and when the Saints turn their backs to the gate, I order my archers to open fire.

The blue-green fire exploded in a burst of black flame, and eventually the whole pillar of fire became black. It beckoned me, called to me. I reached my hand out to touch it, walking slowly towards it. I heard my men calling for me, telling me to stop. Their voices echoed and became distorted. All I saw was the flame; all I wanted was the flame.

It was as black as the void, and when my hand brushed through it, my whole body filled with coldness. My vision failed, turning my pupils as dark as the night. I felt the fire crawl up my body, not burning, but a deep chill. My hand went numb, and soon everything.

....

I stood at the base of the New Sheoth temple, while my Heretic army battled Saints and Seducers. Black flame encircled me, not burning, and no longer cold. As I approached the dais, the flame already lit became tainted with the dark, and the one not lit exploded in a flash of black fire. I felt the fire leave me, but nothing else. The Dementia priest had pulled a knife on me, and I now had a rather deep cut on my arm. My staff blasted him to the back of the room. The Mania priest hid, but I found him. He begged for mercy, and I granted him a swift death.

The peasants of The Crucible were proving stubborn. I chose this way because I thought it would be faster, but I was wrong. Every citizen had taken up arms, and were giving my Heretics a difficult time. Regardless, no peasant could withstand my staff. Electricity flew, bodies twitched, and Seducers died.

I marched towards the castle, my following growing when my Heretics ran out of enemies. I had four dozen when I stormed Cylarne. I was unsure how many died in there, or how many I lost in the streets. I stood at the foot of the castle with half a dozen men. They ran ahead, up the stairs. I walked.

Corpses rolled down the steps; Saints, Seducers, and my Heretics. Those that stood in my way where shot down. I summoned my Hunger to fight. I wasn't sure how much longer my troups would last. I made it through the castle doors, with Haskill and a healer waiting for me. Neither are armed, but I am.

I shoot down the healer, then Haskill. The entire castle is quiet. I no longer hear the battle outside. Feeling returned to me, and my arm began hurting. I noticed quite a lot of blood, and after searching the healer's body, I was set on healing potions.

Haskill began moving, even though I killed him. It seems he was an immortal, so I would have to be clever. Dementia had a prison, so I locked him in there. A key on my keyring opening all the doors around me, I had no problem with locks. When I returned to the throne room, I saw my heretics.
They saluted me, and hailed me as Queen. I named my two top generals the Duchess and Duke and Mania and Dementia, Isabella and Matthias. I had a map drawn up, and gave properties to all my soldiers and their families. The town would need to be cleaned up, and I could not yet sit in my throne, but the castle was ours.

The bodies of the town were easily disposed of, the Heretics used them as bait. They would lay the corpse out, and whatever began eating it would be killed, and the town would feast on it. Grummites by the hundreds were caught this way, but we eventually ran out of bodies. Eventually, a smart little Heretic caught some Grummite eggs, and we began breeding them like cattle.

We domesticated baliwogs easily, and began documenting the evolutionary cycle of them. Dozens of new books were written, that documented almost everything about the isles. The city of New Sheoth grew, but the Heretics were not welcoming to newcomers. After a murder in The Crucible, and since nearly all of the Heretic families lived in Bliss anyway, I made The Crucible for Non-Heretics only. This caused quite a stir, but I knew that it would cause less murder and less crime. The citizens understood after awhile.

Matthias, my Duke of Dementia, was always sadistic, and with methods I do now wish to know, he extracted the secret to sitting on Sheogorath's throne from Haskill. I would need a staff, and an eye. Standard methods of decomposition don't actually apply in the Shivering Isles, so I was able to get Cierta's eye without much trouble. The wood was also rather easy to obtain. I just set the tree on fire, and cut a decent sized branch from the burnt remains.

Matthias said I would have to find someone to put the wood and eye together, but I just sort of stuck the eye between a broken part of the wood, and it stays just fine. The last thing I had to do was wash it in the Font of Madness, and with an awkward rubbing of the eye on the fountain, the deed was done. The staff vibrated with power, and as I sat down on Sheogorath's old throne I knew that I had won.

With myself finally on the throne, the Heretics finally calmed down. I was able to open up The Crucible, and repair the entire city section. It is no longer the dank, dirty, slimy, corpse ridden nightmare that it once was, now it is just as beautiful as Bliss, and I renamed The Crucible 'Perfection'.

With my Bliss and Perfection districts, I envisioned that New Sheoth would eventually become as large as the Imperial City. Of course, there was not enough room at the moment for this to happen. I would have to level out part of the Mania side of the Isles to make room.

There were still plenty of empty houses for now, as former Heretics and people living in fear of Sheogorath moved to the city. I renamed 'Zealots' into 'The Faithless'. It sounds better, I think.

With the plans to expand New Sheoth on hold, I needed a new project. I needed an army to defend my realm; there were still evil trees and the like roaming around. The first thing I did was order the destruction of the Gatekeeper, and then raided the lair of Relmyna Verenim. Her test subjects worship the very ground I walk on, or at least the ones I allowed to survive. Some were just too tortured to ever be normal again.

The second thing I did was fix Xedillian. It has never worked more perfectly.

If an adventurer or bandit comes in, he will find battle and treasure waiting for him, if he can survive to get it. More often than not, he doesn't survive. If a refugee comes in, however, they will skip Xedillian completely, and find themselves in New Sheoth. They can then live in the local inn, until they can work to buy a house. If they didn't like it, they could leave at any time.

Several years passed in the Isles. Matthias eventually became less and less evil, eventually taking a wife. He locked the prison door, and never opened it again. Isabella, the Duchess of Mania, was always a wild one. She never stayed with a single man more than a few days. In the years of my rule, eventually she slept with every man in the Isles. It seemed like a record, so I had a trophy made for her. It looks like a...well; I'll leave that part out.
She's made a new goal, every woman in the Isles. Her first was Matthias' wife, and he didn't like that too well.

Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Diary of Oblivion   Diary of Oblivion - Page 2 EmptyFri May 13, 2011 12:01 pm

Sheogorath, or at least the Old Sheogorath Pretender, never came into the Realm. I wanted to battle him, fight fire with fire, but Time was such a thing that I hadn't gained full control over yet. I had to leave my realm, but I slowed it to a crawl in my absence.

I made my way to the Imperial City, dressed in somewhat middle class clothing. Everyone stared at me for some reason, and it took awhile for me to realize that 'middle class clothing' in the Isles was largely different from Tamriel. They didn't stare long, because Oblivion gates began opening in the city.

The first thing that I thought of was that the Divine Crusader had failed. I was not about to be slain by these daedric monsters, not after I had gained so much power. After years of exploring my Madgod powers, I had become a Master of them.

An Oblivion gate opened in front of me, and daedra poured out into the city. With a clench of my hand, the gate shut. The daedra looked around, attempting to figure out who did it. My clothing changed from a simple middle class tunic into my battledress, with the symbol of my office stitched onto the plates.

I drew my staff, and motioned for the daedra to come get me. Two daedroth obliged. In three moves they were dead. I thrust the butt of my staff into the first one, knocking it down. I shot a bolt of lightning at the second one, burning it from the inside out. I turned my staff on the first one. More lightning.

I saw something flash by me, but when I looked, it was gone. Then, the Temple of the One exploded, and a dragon appeared. It fought something on the other side of the temple, but it was gone before I could see it. The dragon froze, turning to stone before my eyes. The rest of the gates shut.

It was a bore. I was itching for a decent fight. The Isles had become so orderly, so crime free, so idyllic that the warrior found no joy in it. My heart soared when I saw the Divine Crusader walked out of the Temple of the One.

....

He didn't recognize me, I had changed so much. Well, actually, I was wearing The Grey Cowl, so I was the Grey Fox to him. Ha! I was using his own mask against him.

The Divine Crusader said that I was a pretender, that I had been touched by Sheogorath. Ocato laughed, everyone laughed. They didn't laugh when I shot Ocato right in the face, sending him flying back into the Temple of the One. The Divine Crusader drew swords against me, and so did the guards. I didn't want them mucking up my revenge against this Criminal, the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, the Grey Fox, and the Old Madgod. The murderer, thief, criminal. I would make him pay for his crimes. He was nothing more than a hypocrite.

I shouted 'STOP', and everything but me and the Old Madgod, the Divine Crusader, stopped. I had gotten rather good with my sword during my reign in the Isles. I planted my staff in the ground, and the eye focused on the fight. Back in the Isles, there is a fountain in Old Crucible, Perfection as it is now called. Everything the eye saw was shown through that fountain. Hundreds of my citizens lined up around the fountain, and others who couldn't fit had to settle for looking through a crystal ball.

I drew my sword slowly, and I realized that he had a shield. I never trained myself in that. Maybe because I never had to block. Everything died before I needed to.

He swung the first blow, which I sidestepped to. I mocked him, reminding him of our last battle. He was in a Hist induced haze at the time, so he didn't remember me. He probably doesn't even remember how he got this cowl.

It was my turn to swing, and my sword strike glanced off his shield and inflicted a rather heavy wound. He dropped his shield and clutched his side, and I knew that I had him. We fought with swords, his skill rather impressive but no longer better than mine. He was able to parry each and every one of my strikes, but lost blood with each block. He became weaker and weaker, until he broke.

He collapsed to the ground, defeated. He was completely at my mercy. I had him where I wanted him. He had nowhere to go.

I heard a noise, like a horse whining. Looking around, everything was stopped because I said so. I raised my sword for the killing blow. I heard the horse again. Turning around, I saw the horse. It raised up to kick, and I only barely rolled out of the way.

It was the demon horse, the Divine Crusader's horse of pure evil. His notes said that Lucian LaChance gave it to him. I readied my sword against the horse, and knew now why it was such a good fighter.

How exactly do you fight a horse? That question, coupled with the speed of the beast more than likely led to the death of all who opposed it. I swung my sword at the horse, only to have it kicked out of my hand. I tried a lightning bolt, but I missed. It was simply too fast.

The Divine Crusader was attempting to escape, but he wasn't able to out run a shock spell. I, however, wasn't able to notice the horse about to kick me. The Divine Crusader was hit and fell, and I too fell. The horse reared up to stomp me, and this time I got a good spell in. The horse flew backward, landing on a broken pile of stones.

This horse was immortal, like Haskill in my dungeon. Unlike Haskill, I couldn't lock it up in my dungeon and forget about it. I had to do something drastic, almost desperate.

Execution Point. I fired off that spell, in the vain hope that I was powerful enough for it to work in this realm. My luck held out, as the horse disappeared.

I grabbed my sword, rolled the Divine Crusader onto his back, and readied my sword to plunge into his heart. Then I realized that my earlier shock spell had killed him. The people watching in the Isles did not know that, so I plunged my sword into his lifeless chest regardless.

I removed his helmet, and tossed it aside. He wasn't bad looking for an Imperial, I had to give him that. Searching his pockets, I found the Ring of Lordship. I placed it on my finger, took off the Grey Cowl, and said 'GO'.

--The Epilogue--

Everyone blamed the Grey Fox for the murder, just as I had hoped. The Thieves’ Guild was all caught, after a guard found the door to their super secret fortress hidden behind a bush. Most of the Thieves’ Guild left when word got out that the Guildmaster killed the greatest hero of their time, and the rest tried to remain obscure even though the hunt for them was on. Anyone caught even in relation to the Thieves’ Guild or the Grey Fox was sentenced to death.

On another note, The Grey Fox became a hero in the Shivering Isles. People began wearing grey hats and clothing over their faces in remembrance of their greatest hero. The Goddess Queen brags that the Grey Fox is in her personal employ, and to see the Grey Fox in person is one of the greatest honors.

A dark elven female is found dead, wearing modified Legion Armor. The Watch Captain says that she was a scout and a hero, and burying her with full military medals. A lot of paperwork was destroyed during the siege of the Imperial City, so the unnamed hero scout was buried in an unmarked grave. A very nice unmarked grave, but buried anonymously still. Dying as a hero seems better for that peasant. I should have poster her name also.

Modryn Oryen led the Fighter's Guild in the years after the Divine Crusader's death. He sold all the items that the guild members found and couldn't use, starting a large fund to rebuild after the Oblivion Crisis. He said the Divine Crusader gave them the contract and money for it. Everyone knew the truth, but noone wanted to dispute the fund.

The Dark Brotherhood was far too fractured to ever recover, coupled with the fact that the new Listener never completed any contracts. It slowly waned in membership until it was all but forgotten. The only surviving member, Arquen, died while attempting an assassination attempt on Ocato.

Some freelance thieves eventually broke into the well and found the den abandoned, and called the watch. It now sits as a museum, and the Cheydinhal Guard takes full responsibility for clearing out the den.

The Arena functioned much like it always had, except with no powerful challenger to defeat The Grey Prince, he continued living for several hundred years. He eventually found out on his own that he was half vampire, but not before having several half vampire children, with a woman who turned out to be a full blooded vampire. He killed her, and sought out to destroy his demon children, who were multiplying his undead curse far and wide.

Necromancy was always a threat to the Mage's Guild, and without a powerful figure to keep the guild protected, the guild halls in the provinces were all destroyed. Carahil was the only surviving member of the Anvil Mage's Guild, but she went missing after a return trip, saying 'There's something about this skeletal hand that is familiar. I just want to check out a lead'. The sightings of Lorgren Benirus are being dismissed by the town guard, saying the Mage's Guild killed him years ago.

Eyja eventually gains possession of Rosethorn Hall, after a brief battle with a judge. She imposed Squatter's Rights, and since she had been taking care of the house for years, she won. She lives easily, selling the Divine Crusader's old items if she ever needs money. She spends her days enjoying the previous owner's stash of skooma, a stash that will last well past Ejya's death.

Farwil Indarys, leader of the Knights of the Thorn, decides to explore the strange gate in the Niben. He takes two dozen men with him to the Isles. Since Xedillian was repaired and refitted, four gatekeepers stand between Farwil and the Isles. Each gatekeeper controls an element. Half of his men die fighting the Frost Gatekeeper. Six men die killing the next two. Only a single man dies fighting the Fire Gatekeeper. With five men, Farwil begins exploring the Isles. The Faithless kill two of his men, ferel Grummites infect another two with ranies. With a single healthy man, Farwil decides to go back. The two infected men attempt to kill Farwil and his one man force, and they hastily leave camp with few supplies. He makes it back to Xedillian, and only a single Gatekeeper guards the exit. A Flesh Gatekeeper. It has no remarkable offensive powers, except a four foot penis that is roughly six inches thick(This information brought to you by Isabella, the Duchess of Mania). It paralyzes Farwil Indarys before turning on his companion, whom it rapes until he dies. It then turned it attention to Farwil.

Matthias leads Perfection with a fair and even hand, becoming the favorite of his citizens. He eventually takes over Bliss too, and I just give him control of all housing in the City. Isabella, being the party animal she is, quickly has several clubs, taverns, and questionable bars open up. City morale has never been higher, and with proper taxes levied on the buildings Isabella owns, the Isles has enough money to have and train a static army. Although Matthias and Isabella do not see eye to eye on most subjects, like decency and personal space, they realize that they need each other to run a sucessful realm.

Isabella eventually completes her dream of sleeping with every woman in the Isle, even myself, and decides that she's being too species specific.

Isabella begins doing things that I have to make up laws for to punish. Eighty seven new laws on decency and etiquette are introduced to the realm. None have any effect on the peasant population, because most of the peasants can't read. Also, most peasants would be caught dead before they did that to the animal/tree/seductive looking plant.

Isabella begins acting spontaneously, and I cringe for the people of my realm. I am surprised when she builds schools, hospitals, and forts around the realm. She dies from her many diseases before her final fort is finished, and when it is, I rename it Fort Isabella. The soldier's begin making jokes that they have already been inside Isabella, and I have them all executed. The jokes stop immediately. The fort becomes the most successful fort in the Isles, not losing a single man to the monsters roaming the realm.

I never name a new Duchess of Mania, mainly because what she has in the Mania side of the castle scares me.

S'fara is made the new Duchess of Mania, but not by my choice. She's that rambling, crazy cat lady. I don't like rambling, crazy cat ladies. I offered the position up to whomever won the popular vote. She won.

I tie Shadowmere to a large boulder on Execution Point. It stomps angrily around, running as far as its chain will let it go. The pile of corpses triples, and not because I sent them there.

The Champion of Cyrodil's Dragon Armor goes missing, and eventually the Grey Fox is seen wearing it. Ocato is furious, and offers a 60,000 gold reward for the Grey Cowl. Within a day, the cowl turns up. The reward is about to be given out, when Ocato founds out that the reward was stolen(by the Grey Fox), and that the cowl in question is actually a painting of the Cowl, and that the person who offered and painted the painting was actually the Grey Fox, wearing the Dragon Armor. Hilarity ensues.

The last one of the epilogue makes me laugh.
