Survivor Seven : Dante Foxx (Hellblaze)

And so it begins...

My first year in the marines and I had already had been assigned a post in Racoon City. I had my trusty Desert Eagle, my back up 9mm Taurus, and my deadly machete. I wasn't issued any machine guns because the General had told me and my squad members it was just a "Guard the building" type mission.

I was on my route around the Umbrella office building when I saw a man walking slowly toward the entrance of the building. Doing my job I went up to talk to him. "Sir, please show me you company ID." And at that the man looked up. His eyes were white and his face was red and bloody. "RRAAHhAHAHRHaHAH!!!!!!!!!!!" The man lunged at me and knocked me on the ground.

I kicked him off of me and wasted both my Desert Eagle and my Taurus's ammo into his torso. The man just wouldn't fall. So I went with my last resort and swung a blow directly to his head with my machete. That did it. He fell to the ground. I left my two guns there due to the fact that they were out of ammo. As I turned I saw utter chaos breaking out in the city streets before my very eyes.


What will you do...?
- Examine the guy you just brutally killed.
- Find someone.
- Get to the chopper!
- Get outside.

Thinking fast, I noticed a fire-axe on the other side of the room. Deciding that this was indeed and emergency, I promptly ran over and delivered a fist through the protective glass, shattering it to pieces. Claiming my prize, I jogged back to where I was and tried to figure out what to do next.

- Get outside.

Get Outside.

Quickly making my way down a large flight of stairs, I found my path to be blocked by two disfigured, mutilated people like the one I had just neutralized. By the looks they gave, and the agitated moaning noises they made, I judged that they weren't too friendly.


What will you do...?
- Aim for the head. (Specify which weapon)
- Aim for the arm. (Specify which weapon)
- Aim for the torso. (Specify which weapon)
- Aim for the leg. (Specify which weapon)
- Try to go around them by jumping over the rail. (Fall 15 feet)

Aim for the head(fire axe)

"Eat shit!" I shouted, as my axe found it's way into the first bastard's skull. The crunching noise and the gore that followed were both highly enjoyable.

"Just you and me now." I declared, drawing away from the other guy, who had unsuccessfully tried to grab me after the brutal death of his friend.

Aim for torso (Machete)

Switching to my machete, I viciously swung at the creature with a horizontal swipe. With a grim, shearing noise, my blade embedded itself halfway through the target's lower body. A wicked smile spread across my face when I heard the telltale crack of a spine breaking.

Suddenly, the creature fell backwards, taking my machete with it. Over and over it twisted and snapped on it's way to the bottom, eventually coming to a halt at the base of the stairs, with its head bent backwards.

And thus, he moved no more.


What will you do...?
- Grab your machete and head outside.
- Forget about the machete and head outside.
- Head back into the building.

Grab the machete and go outside.

Rapidly descending the rest of the stairs, I went to reclaim my machete from the mangled corpse of the guy I'd just killed. However, when I bent to grab the handle, the guy lurched up at me.

"Shit!" I exclaimed, barely managing to dodge his vicious teeth as they went for my ankle. In response, I promptly smashed the guy's skull in the heel of my boot.

"And stay down." I muttered, spitting on what was left of his head. Again, I went to reclaim my machete, but this time he gave me no trouble.

Stepping outside into the cool night air, I instantly became aware of noises. Unnatural ones. Scanning the parking lot, I spotted half a dozen people several meters away. The fog made it difficult to distinguish anything about them, though...

But from their lack of movement, I assumed they hadn't spotted me yet.


What will you do...?
- Get back inside.
- They might be normal people. Go talk to the crowd in front of you.
- Go around them and keep moving forward.
- Attack!
- Get in one of the cars nearby.

Go around them and keep moving forward.

Ever so quietly, I attempted to go around them using the fog, vehicles, and various objects for cover.

Unfortunately, I accidentally stepped on some random bottle, causing it to loudly break under my boot.

I was right to assume that the figures in the mist weren't friendly. With a gut-wrenching cry, the closest one began to lurch forward... Then the second one... Then they were all after me.


What will you do...?
- Run back in the building!
- Screw stealth. Run!
- Get in a car!
- Attack!
- Slip through the alley behind you.

Get in a car.

Without bothering to give it a second thought, I hauled ass to the nearest car. Finding the door to be locked, I quickly remedied the situation with a swift elbow-smash to the window.

Working the lock open with my fingers, I opened the door and got inside.

Check the F'in back seat!!!!! I've seen plenty horror/zombie movies.

Quickly leaning over the seat, I discovered nothing sinister to be lurking in the back. I was safe.

SLAM!! Came a noise from beside me. Jerking my head to the left, I discovered a grizzled and gnarled face pressed into the window. SLAM!! SLAM!! SLAM!! It was trying to pound its way in, using its skull as a battering ram. From all around, I saw more figures beginning to approach the car as well.

That's when my window began to crack...

Drive away damn it!!!!!! Run em' over!!!!

Cranking the ignition, and shifting into first, I burned rubber for a full second before the car took off. I lost count of how many bodies careened off of my bumper and windshield, turning the whole front of the car red.

Shifting into second and then third, I turned on the windshield wipers to clean off some of the gore. I appeared to be in the clear, for now.

I saw lights ahead... In the distance.
